inner child
I look around at my life
I see much that's good and right
Many a tear of sorrow too
Times when blinded to the light
Things have not always worked out
The way I imagined as a child
Those childhood treasures seem lost
Within this my turbulent mind
I may have a path ahead
A frightening path to take
Blinded to the outcome
To walk this path in faith
To step into my future
Into territories unknown
Faith in being guided
Thus never travelling alone
I have not always walked my path
I have...

UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Love
Love is gentle, love is kind
Love is quiet, love is divine
Love doesn't question or reason
For the answers lay deep inside
Love permeates through every flower
The trees, within all that grows
It moves the stream towards the ocean
Thus touches upon all as it flows
Love is silent, it simply is
Love does not puff itself up
Love doesn't plead to be noticed
No quantity can ever define love
When two people fall in love
No words can truly embrace
That feeling of longing to forever be
Together as one for all...
Love is quiet, love is divine

Ripples
Would the universe be any different if you or I were never born
I guess the earth would still revolve the same as ever before
Casting pebbles into the infinite sending ripples far and wide
Changes something in some way as each expanding circle collides
How do we truly affect earth in all we do, say and believe
Cannot be fully seen in each moment as our ripples expand endlessly
The miracle of the heart beats for more than love alone
For the ripple of its compassion continues after the pebble is thrown
The immortal web of the universe changes...

Midnight Meditation
I stand alone at the strike of midnight
I have four walls I call home
The artificial light proud above me
The clock on my left strikes all alone
The windows allow for their limited view
Doors locked tight against the worldly night
The box repeats the same old tune
Casting its line for another bite
I stand alone at the strike of midnight
Push down the four walls with my mind
The light above crashes around me
The clock no longer defines my time
The window pane has had its day
Doors lay waste to bridge my leave ...

The Big Blue
Sunlight dancing upon her surface
Like cut diamonds upon their tread
Within her shipwrecks treasure chest
Mermaids slumber her seabed
Beams of sunlight filter through
Revealing giant pinnacles of carpet lush
Strawberry anemones cover her rocks
An expression of Gaia's artistic touch
Within her charm she does bestow
To those her own volcanic lands
Where island people fish with nets
From canoes carved by native hands
To her many a hearty song be sung
In warning for her forbidding rocks
To her many a prayer...

Ebb Tide
This time when the earth realigns after shifting with the tide
The seagulls are happy to defend this peaceful and wondrous time
The still ebb is meditating, her time of reflection and peace
As the breeze plays once again among the whispering trees
The sun wraps up another day with golden rays she wilfully casts
Her shadowing decent slowly fades, her allegiance to another day passed
The crested moon stood radiantly still, a portal upon the waters edge
The sound has left this idyllic time, silence now rules instead
As I ponder this still...

Dear Friend, friend of mine
Lost within the shadows of time
Only to capture with swift memories
In bygone days of you and I
Do the trees remind your soul
Our many adventures of long ago
Do the streams remind your heart
The many years as it flows

Of innocent times and endless dreaming
