POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.
Hi Grace
Dear little Grace
You are ten today
Don’t stay in the house
Daddy will come home
From his work faraway
He will beat you again
Mommy has been complaining
You will break an arm
Dear not-so little Grace
You are thirteen today
Go live with grandma
Your brother in law will come
With your pretty sister
And he will hurt you
Take away your innocence
Bequeathing scars for life
Dear Grace
You are twenty one today
Your boyfriend will pop the question
Don’t say yes Grace
For goodness sakes don’t...

Paradise
If I die before I wake
I hope to God
My Eden to choose
A home by a lake
Peaceful and tranquil
Where water lilies
Thrives
To have the blue mountains
In brilliant colour brood
Looming over the flowing river
To have a flower garden
With colours of the rainbow
To hear the babbles of the brooks
As it flows merrily
Into the river
Gentle breeze ever blowing
With soughing melodies
Of alone-ness
Without the loneliness
If God gives me a choice.

One desire
I wish I could
Live one day with you
Live it to the fullest
That one day of bliss
That ended in pain
That one day would start
With all the right words
With all the right moves
The cuddles laughter and kisses
Until that day ends
That day should end
Where you and I stand
Pledging love forever more
Coming together as one
Fused bodies in loving bond
That one day should not end
With leaving and goodbyes
With grasping hands across the line
Tears falling as you left
Through the terminal and...

Ghosts
Standing like a sentinel
against the buffeting wind
stoically looking into the sky
daring the clouds to cry
I stand here still
waiting for a reply
to my plea...don't leave me
The grass grows over my feet
the leaves cascade from the tree
bury me in grey brown and yellow
shrouds of sorrow and grief
still I wait for you
Come back my love
I want you so ...
Through the skies and sun
the indifferent planets
the terrifying broody galaxy
dead quiet Maya
I traverse
sorrow personified

The Walking Dead
From East of the sun
And North of the Moon
Beneath the pale starlit night
They come again
To seek the boon
That once they were pledged
By gods of old
When crossed spires were unknown
The pledge for them
to walk the earth
Just one more time
To breathe the cool sweet air
To see their beloved
All warm and snug
Before their homey hearth
All comfort just remembered
Thus they walked with staggering steps
With limbs so long unused
Dragging their rotting rotted husk
They stumbled to their doors ...
And North of the Moon
Beneath the pale starlit night
They come again
To seek the boon

I am Man (If I were)
To roam the world
To find my love
To bring her home
To be the mother
Of my children
To love my life
To honour my wife
To nurture my children
To support and give
To take and receive
To till the land
To harvest the sea
For all those that depends on me
For them to be free
Of wants and needs
And yet would I
A man, stand and serve
Those who love me
Or go wandering
Into the wide out there
For a man is an adventurer
In their minds and every where
Not contented with just...

Red Roses
Written in Collaboration With Illuminatus Rex Regina (Kou_Indigo)
Part One: Beauty’s Treasure
In spring, the red rouge of the roses, like blood,
Comes forth to greet the sun in radiant splendor…
Life coursing through the flowers in a great flood!
The water pours forth from Heaven like thunder,
And the roses drink deep and breathe, and live…
Their beauty is their treasure, and of it they give!
Why oft do mortals not take the time to but see?
That all around them, in this universe, is beauty.
In a solitary garden, oft can be found a...

Just tissue
I watched you walk away
away from me, the other day
you disappeared
into the airport terminal
and I waved goodbye
I started to cry
my tears fell down my cheek
rivulets, water from a creek
from deep within my heart
I whipped out
something from my pocket
a piece of tissue
and began to wipe my cheek
It made me bawl
it made me crawl
within this soul
thats so heartbroken
The tissue had a spot
like a red heart
a dot of ketchup
that you had wiped
from your mustache
before you left

Parting
Eyes meeting across the floor
Through my eyes
Windows of my soul
A plea, please don’t leave
Pray I you tarry more
To touch to hold to feel
Your arms around me once more
Just a touch, please don’t go
You merely smile
And walked through the door
Into the plane you disappear
No backward glance
No looking back
You were gone and seen no more
I walked away
Blinded by my tears
Goodbye and farewell
That’s what was said
Will you return?
Will you come back?
Into my yearning arms again
Will prayers be...

Half a heartbeat
Blossoms falling on the grassy meadow
Sounds of singing cicadas
The caress of the gentle zephyr
Upon my cheeks
Sounds of children’s laughter
Ringing in joy from far away
They are sepia tones in my yesteryears
They remind me of you
The crashing waves upon the shore
The cries of sea birds up above
The sounds of wind that sough
Among the leafy trees
They do remind me of you
The day you told me you are leaving
The day you said you could not stay
The day I died slowly within

Chaos
You came into my life
Showed me everything beautiful
Held me and told me everything’s alright
Made me feel my life was full
You were heaven’s threshold
I was the poor fool
The whirlwind of your uncertainty
Then crashed my world
You put my life on hold
You pushed me into the whirlpool
And made me feel like drowning
In chaos of no, maybe or let’s see
My nights are fragmented now
Between deep, shallow and skates
Ripples that go in squares
Sighs that ends in wails
Tears on my pillows
