POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.
Coffee kisses
Coffee Kisses,
gentle hugs
tropical dawn,
on winters day
a touch on the cheek
a smile on the lips
a look exchanged
tThe day begins
Coffee kisses,
passion bright
the day is done
Its time for night
conversations on balcony
laughter heard
on midnight air
A vision so bright
woven in the fabric
of happy-glittered thoughts
hopes and wishes
whispered through the air
for coffee kisses.

Bed Calls
Yawning cold, a threatening frost
On windowpanes misting over
Home, home, home from the sea
Whispering spectres passing by
It’s the time of the night
When the dead passes through
Distant bells tolling the hour
Eyes crusting over with sleep
Fingers slow as they tap
Rhythm to the Rhyme
Words woven over pending dawn
Golden threads on silver skies
Crescent moon over eastern skies
Lit the dusk of the western realm
Dusts go into the eyes
echoes in salient instants
and distant grasses bow
a breath...

I wish I was a butterfly
Walking in the park today
Among the bright red blooms
The colours so bright and gay
Emanating nature’s perfume
Floating by, a butterfly
Fly and rested on the ground
I wish I had wings so fluttery
To fly around the world
For free it is to travel
To worlds magical and enchanted
No tears or sighs, never fearful
Loving, living life so pleasant.

Don’t Cry
Weeping Willows,
Under it I weep
Hair on the water
It fell and dips
Mixed with my tears
As I gently weep
Don’t cry please
Says the winds
Whistling through leaves
Let the tears
Flow by and heal
the hurt in your heart
Let him go
He belongs
To another
He is much loved
By her
Set him free
The wind soughs
These words
Over the treetops
As I weep under
The weeping willows
My tears salt on water.

Mixed with my tears

Ruminating on some Evenings
Perch the bird
On a leafless branch
Cocking its head
so it could listen
To poems on silvery
air of impending dusk
Remember the dawn
Its seems to warble
Remember the day
Tomorrow to shine
The cycle goes
comes around again
The bird flies off
To its nest, its home
Life nocturnal
Begin to awake
The owl calls
To Who? To Who?
What answer does one have
For such a clever question
What shall go to whom
Whom goes for which
Nothing lives forever
Not matter, nor promises.

Pledges
I pray to remain
With you, a little
bit over forever
to learn and grow
with you in life
I pray to grow
With you in heights
Of kindness and love
To forgive before
Sorry is uttered
I wish to pledge
Love and respect
pure, unconditional
selfless devotion
never turning my face away
I wish to pledge
Love that transcend
The walls of now
To the glory
Of eternity
With you, a little
bit over forever

Grace’s thoughts
A change is as good as a rest
with change comes newness
With newness, discoveries
Wealth and worth of self
A good beginning makes a good ending
All beginnings have endings
Mostly sad and heartrending
What ifs, if only, why, how…
A friend in need is a friend indeed
will usually try to lend a shoulder
to cry on; kindly frighten you
With a deluge of impossible blind dates
A dog is a man's best friend
Might scare well-meaning friends
away, from whispering urgings
A good dog is faithful and true
A good man is hard...

Don’t love me
A thread of spectral
Wish floats upwards
Towards skies of hopes
In wants hands grope
In need of arms
Embracing and giving
I watch in pain
For you love in vain
I can’t love you
A prayer in whispers
To the Gods above
To be loved back
I would if I could
Love you too
With all my strength
Give you my everything
But I can’t love you
I am too broken inside
Sobs and tears
Will break my heart
I will cry with you
I will hold you tight
Rock you in the night
Tell you everything’s alright

Have you…
ever thought about why
when you are away
breathing is hard
and I wish you
are with me
your smile
bright
or why whispers, sighs
I hear in crowds
reminds me of
the wonders
you tell me
memories
of past
loving
lost
Or why I always think
up words to poems
to write in stories
so that I could
Share it with you
Just a breath away
During my new day
And in your evenings
Just a click and you
Are there, happy
I share words
I would never
Have thought
of,on my own.

Communing
A single leaf
Falling to the ground
A petal blowing
In the wind
Falling sparkly dusts
Of a passing butterfly
Remind me of you
A gust of wind
A drizzly day
Sounds of rain
On the eaves
Whispers of cold
air through the windows
Remind me of you
Chuckles of bubbly brooks
like laughter of naiads
rustles of admiring brushes
gentle kisses of breeze
Lovingly surreal
In gathering twilight
Remind me of you
I, here wait...
Missing you.

Paper Cuts
He
Once
Told me
The one he
Loved so well
Left him, on the floor
Holding his head
With his hands
cry silent
tears
his
Dream
Left him so
empty, to shiver
gasps agonising pain
Hearts shredding, for she left
Leaving him waking
Up to the lonely
cold room
The bed
Bare
Vacant
He is sleeping
Pillowed in hopes
Cuddled so faithfully
With hope, her loving promises
Fogging his heart badly
Void not the night
Hold me please
He whispers
Do hold me
It rains
On.

The Many Ifs
If
I had taken
The road away
from your doorsteps
and try to find my own Eden
would
I have been
Contented, happy
and not miss the fun we
did have together for a while
If
Love was
A promise you
Never made or meant
Would I have stayed that long
Would
You have
cared If I
had walked away
And never returned to say
The sad final goodbye
Forget the betrayal
Would I have
Healed
Well
Or
Would I still be a mess as I am now;
Or faded away, an angel on the snow
