The sky's the limit
Thought I should have a try...
at giving a shit.
At least for a while.
I played along with it,
but in the end...
it felt like it always did.
Like i was missing something...
The most important bit...
The "once and for all" and shit...
The nexus. The centre.
The major element that-
gives a point to it all...
6 strings, but no plectrum.
No big dreams, just loads of questions.
There's still steam.
A furnace.
My engine...
No instruction.
No textbook.
No lessons.
Monotone skies.
Drudgery. ...
at giving a shit.
At least for a while.
I played along with it,
but in the end...
it felt like it always did.

Secret Ingredient
You're my saffron,
My umami,
My elusive perfect sarnie,
My sashimi with wasabi:
Refined and light
but cut just right
with the perfect mix
of the spice of life,
you're delicious!
Even stood washing the dishes,
Or grimacing in the mirror,
because your belly's grown bigger,
I don't care!
From your brown hair
all the way down to your fatty liver...
I love ya kidda'
My umami,

The Power
Im clearly erect
while you're merely a spec
on my lense.
Dip your toe in to test
and i'll break off a leg
with it, friend.
Think you're badman? I'm demon,
I been through all seasons,
I'm evil, deceitful,
I'll smile and i'll greet you,
I'll wake you, i'll shake you,
You'll stand... and I'll break you.
And i'll take you down through the K Hole...
Surrounded by clowns who mistake those,
Cries for escape for those highs that they ache for...
For your life is mine... and it's not yours,
I move with times,
I...

Service for payment.
Insistant statement:
"Apology but it must be
upfront that money is taken".
Never waning, unrelenting cravings,
life is laid to wastage,
as the lives of those partaking stay the same:
from punter scum to hard done t' cunt renter mum,
all the money that's exchanged,
if traced further down the drain,
serves to tighen up the chains,
of the scratch the itch her veins have.
Each night she does the same dance,
Last time she owns a trade snatch,
and bears the pain and shame that's
a life lived of the game,...

Equality
Equality or inequality,
You've either grown up in the sorrority of hypocrisy
And grown accustomed to the dicotomy
That exists between the few and the majority
Or you've grown used to the daily apocalypse that narrowly misses yet remains sitting at the forefront of every decision made,
unconsiously.
Or maybe,
You used to know the difference between what's right and what's wrong
when related to the struggles that others go through for so long
for their existense but you've forgotten it,
Is the system just so rotten it's merely the persistense of...

Exactly what happened
We grew up with it,
And the fact is,
That as a kid,
When it's easier to get a bag on tick
Than it is booze or cigs,
It's kinda hard to resist
The glam and the glitz
Of the grams and the bits
That'll divide your mind from your tits.
So...
One of me' mates' mums and dads split.
And as is the norm the dad left the mum
With the gaff and the kids, but...
She had a new fella and every weekend
was round his,
Now;
This provided us with just the right
Type of environment
To gern our backs out entirely
and...
And the fact is,
That as a kid,
When it's easier to get a bag on tick
