POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I do not compose the poems. They come to me on their own accord. I simply jot them down on paper.
Embark
I set sail into cold and barren seas
Despite the current, I raise the worn mast
Rose upright, high and still to catch the breeze;
Forgetting waves my ship remains steadfast.
I scud through squalls from shore to ocean’s eye
With great linear velocity for speed
To find and take my prize that’s oh so shy
And surely I shan’t be one to concede
As I use an astrolabe to find,
The star, the endpoint of my lone voyage,
Kronos will have us fated trough his wind
Whether or not on my point of dotage
May this embark on my course be worthwhile...
Despite the current, I raise the worn mast
Rose upright, high and still to catch the breeze;

Love
To love: to desire a universe,
A whole different memory,
May it be a curse
And may it be my eulogy
For it's a cold trip to the furnace.
From the sky to the abyss
There is no real Juliet
For love is a ghostly ditch
Trapping lovers unmet
Meant for solitary anguish.
And the stars remain inanimate
As the sun chases the moon
A matter that leaves out fate
For in the beginning, there is already doom
With disregarded, unconcealed cards.
A whole different memory,
May it be a curse
And may it be my eulogy
For it's a cold trip to the furnace.
From the sky to the abyss
There is no real Juliet
For love is a ghostly ditch
Trapping lovers unmet
Meant for solitary anguish.
And the stars remain inanimate
As the sun chases the moon
A matter that leaves out fate
For in the beginning, there is already doom
With disregarded, unconcealed cards.

The night I dream
Tonight, I stay awake
Drawn by the cold night's allure
Thrilled by knowing not
Knowing whether my safety is sure
The moon I see is heavenly
It is my eternal bounty
Quietly it taunts me
The moon is such a divine beauty
This light in the dark
And the cold that surround me
Both embrace my heart
And my soul follows willingly
Drawn by the cold night's allure
Thrilled by knowing not
Knowing whether my safety is sure
The moon I see is heavenly
It is my eternal bounty
Quietly it taunts me
The moon is such a divine beauty
This light in the dark
And the cold that surround me
Both embrace my heart
And my soul follows willingly

Sailing through a river of mist
Sailing through a river of mist,
I am unaware of the end.
I am at the river’s mercy
For she will bid me no favors.
I cast anchor to stop the boat
To no avail nor benefit.
I am helpless against the waves,
They present me with fear and grief
Eternal as the current heaves.
Even the seagulls seem astute
Yet they are my sole company.
The lone joy of being forlorn
Is to notice the night’s trite stars
And that the wistful one is I.
I am unaware of the end.
I am at the river’s mercy
For she will bid me no favors.
I cast anchor to stop the boat
To no avail nor benefit.
I am helpless against the waves,
They present me with fear and grief
Eternal as the current heaves.
Even the seagulls seem astute
Yet they are my sole company.
The lone joy of being forlorn
Is to notice the night’s trite stars
And that the wistful one is I.
