POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Our First Time
The first time we’d do it, would be
like being back at the beach,
my hands trying to cover
your breasts, like waves
trying to reclaim, shore
You’d heave at my touch, become
the sea, drown me, in undeniable
ecstasy
my teeth marking,
red and blue,
your skin
like footprints on sand, and then my
tongue licking, where your skin feels
warm and bruised, where hickeys
look like tan, from bathing too long
under the summer sun
my kisses trail, further down, stubble
scraping on naked skin, in your eyes
brown as sin, I’d...
like being back at the beach,

Psyche
I’m going to make you talk to me.
I’m going to make you feel like you’re familiar
With every meander of my body
Each dent on my soul
That you thought to be sterile
That you thought to be pure
Oblivious to who I verily hide beneath
Strata of flaxen fabrication
I now unveil my veracious psyche
I’m going to kiss you.
Every place we’ve ever been to.
Carve the map of my lipstick stains
Into every hollow of your frail anatomy
Till your mighty bare
Is tainted with my vicious tendencies
I will not leave
Oblivious to who I...

How to write a Poem
1. Write.
See the girl with the red lips, blue eyes and thick black hair sitting in the corner of the coffee shop. Notice the way she chews on the back of her pencil and jots down one word after the other, line after line for hours. Watch her cry. Look at the way she delicately folds half torn pieces of paper into the back of her diary, shuts it and leaves. Look at the way the boy on the next table spends 5 minutes staring at the lipstick stains on her coffee mug. Do the same.
2. Realise you are shit at it.
You can’t pull off lipstick. It’s all over your teeth. Your hair...

Maybe
I’m broken, fix me.”
From the very first day, this was the only message I ever gave
Never realising I gave you the power to mould me to fit your need.
From the way I put my hair up, to the way I wore my eye shadow,
From the way I pulled my sleeves down, to the way I wore my shorts.
All filtered. Truncate. Fit to the way you wanted me to be.
From the music I listened to, to the lyrics I liked.
From the poetry I read, to the poetry I write.
All stained with your silhouette imprinted on each word.
You took over me, it feels rather melancholy.
I don’t think...

Scenery
I painted a scenery in my dreams
The grass was pink
The clouds, green.
The rivers were red.
The hills, blue.
At a distance, I saw you.
I painted us in my dreams.
The bed was round.
Our hands, tied.
Mouth sealed shut.
Eyes, watering.
Somehow still wallowing.
I painted a home in my dreams.
The roof wasn’t there.
The house, broken.
The rooms were empty.
Words left unspoken.
And we were still hoping.
I painted a picture in my dreams.
A lake of happiness where we dove.
Waterfalls of...

DADDY
It’s just a post on this BIG website, right? People read it, like it (I would like to believe that) and then like everything else that matters we forget it, even if does stay it’s in some cramped up little space in our brain. So tiny that we can almost neglect its existence.
So what does REALLY matter? The economy? Your job? Your dream? Your LIFE? Such a simple questions yet seldom thought about.
My father is in the Indian army, most of my childhood he’s been away keeping the country safe. Keeping us safe. Keeping you safe. With him it’s more like meeting him on vacations rather than...

The Ideal Woman
A display of poise and elegance,
In the way she struts around
Being sanguine is in her nature,
Confidence reverberates in every sound.
It takes a lot more than just power to revolutionize the world,
More than mere diplomacy
To build one's stature.
A lady whose strength never wavers
One whose integrity remains strong
As into a new world she ventures.
A person whose commands make the heads turn
Whose eyes reflect joy and compassion
One whose liveliness illuminate things around,
A woman of steel with a heart of gold.

This Moment
I look out into the ashen fields
I look out and wonder
I wonder if in this moment
This moment when the clouds drift
When the sun touches the horizon
When the ashen fields glow, backlit.
I wonder if in this moment
When I look onto the city below
Where the people pass by in directions unknown
Where the pigeons roost in their steel trees
Where a man whimpers sick and alone in an ally.
I wonder if in this moment
When I look across the limitless sky
With it's growing swells
With it's uncharted depth
With it's abundance of...

My Cold World
A woman lonely and so cold,
Trying to grasp an aura.
She assumes to trust to not reveal the hidden,
Until unknown souls spot the flaw.
Abruption,
Cowardly through she fails to hold back,
Paranoid, so paranoid her nerves become barbed,
Her mind darkened as she's blinded,
Her words become cruelly reversing any remaining trust,
Her dreams so beyond chilling sear the mere
Love left in a heart.
Though only so few understand not to blame,
To not blame a woman ensconced by a cold world,
Only trying to survive with a fire she herself sadly...
Trying to grasp an aura.
She assumes to trust to not reveal the hidden,
Until unknown souls spot the flaw.

Scream
Why do your eyes still pierce my defense?
I am trying to guard my soul
I am looking at things unknown to me now,
But familiar from times of ole.
That gaze you possess tears me apart.
It wounds my mind,
It hurts my heart.
But you can't see my torn subconscious.
I look at my struggle
And I feel that I've lost it.
A long battle all for nothing,
All in vain it seems.
I went in blooming and blushing
But all I can do now is scream.
I scream for all.
I scream for us.
I scream for all we were to be.
For what else is there for me to...

The Voice of a Soldier
I'm blinded by the bloodshed and the fiery sky,
All I see around is hatred and revenge in the enemy's eye.
But this is not the time to recumbent,
'cause I have to save my country's innocent soul.
This is the time to recriminate and to shed the blood of foul.
This is the time to show courage and to never back down.
We have to fight till the sun breaks the dawn and the skies are clear,
So that vulnerable lives don't feel the danger near.
'Cause I am a soldier of the Modern World War,
And in my heart rests the safety of the people whom I'm fighting...
All I see around is hatred and revenge in the enemy's eye.
But this is not the time to recumbent,
