POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
I'll be here
Look for me in the breeze and the trees,
As the wind rustles through their leaves
In the clouds formed up above.
And in the wildflowers I once loved.
In the sea, that's where I'll be,
Just flashes of happy memory
A part of you, now back to earth,
I have you to thank, I know my worth.
So no more tears, cause I'm right here.
Lay my head to rest and have no fear
Think of me and I'll be there
By your side throughout the years
In every breath you take and everything you see, look around, you'll see me.
As the wind rustles through their leaves
In the clouds formed up above.
And in the wildflowers I once loved.
In the sea, that's where I'll be,
Just flashes of happy memory
A part of you, now back to earth,

In every breath you take and everything you see, look around, you'll see me.

Winds of change and spaghetti bolognese
I can't pretend,
it hurt when you took that bend
Chose to start that trend and leave me in the dirt all over again.
So instead I'll rewrite what wasn't yours to write.
Second chances you don't deserve,
they aren't the shite,
Never again taking me down from that height.
In these past years the wind stirred and changed.
Think you can stir shit up now?
Then you're simply deranged
Onto better things, ditched the rings,
a better life is meant for me
Putting myself first is best
but not like you'd agree
Cause there is no haze...

Time out
When my mental health is on the floor,
You'll find me sat behind my gardens door.
Soaking up the sun or chilling in the shade
Often listening to music as it's often played.
Something to match the mood I'm in
Whether it's rock or rap, something just to make me grin.
So here I am in my place of zen
Away from work, everyday stresses and you guessed it, men.
Gathering my thoughts, taking some me time and breathing
When I'm sat out in nature I can feel myself healing.
I remind myself that it's okay to stop, okay to wobble and sometimes to...

Loved and lost but never forgotten...
11 years since you left us but sometimes these memories surface.
With the best cups of tea you did this world a service.
Taught me about family coming first although no family's perfect,
Made me believe that I could. Finding the right way to word this.
The first ever card I made and gave to someone was yours.
A birthday card that said groovy chick and I barely got through your doors
Before handing it over and the smile on your face
Asking if I thought you were groovy, I'll never forget being in that place.
The house on the end with a farm...
