POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Poetry is my voice for change. I have 12 kids with my husband of 22 years. The poetry I write comes from books, movies, and most of all, from my life. Finally squeezed out of me by my nature like a long held breath.
James Charles’ Disturbing Confession
Beyond the cute
doll-face facade
such dark secrets
perverse admissions
no one wanted
to find out was
for certain
hunting boy-children
I cannot scrub
my memory
as easily
as I can cancel him
May he fade
from search engines

Happiness or Something Else
Miserable
you count the ways
you can be mad
or maybe sad
Sow to the wind
reap the tornado
I realized
you cried for missed joy
but not to seek it
If you wanted happiness
you would sow it
whatever little seed
you could find
or gratitude
so I decided
I too, had a choice
teaching happiness
by example
making my antidote
instead of crying tears
It would do you good
to plant it
in your heart
you count the ways
you can be mad
or maybe sad
Sow to the wind
reap the tornado

you cried for missed joy

The Economy of Oppression
Saturated with
virtue signaling sellers
elites of academia
art, culture and
mainstream media
have made a killing
stuffing their pockets
to tales of woe
and now the market
is over-saturated
a princess wants to run
for president
after trauma from
the spotlight
and the Netflix
series she got the
spotlight for
Peddling her minority
to pass herself off ...

The Slavery Chains Called Master
Branded by rewritten
history books
scarred by labels
never lived
your language denied
in chains of names
like “master”
your voice gagged
dehumanized
gifts you gave
branded as debt
or worse yet
a brazen theft
the pirate power
blinds your eyes
with a victim
narrative
You’ve never been
the oppressor
Yet with words
like “master”
Your slavery
is complete

Breaking the Lie on Our Bonds
Let the oppressed go free
is not a hex
on the free markets
It’s a key
to more abundant means
for all who want to reap
It does not break
the bonds
of truthful equity
There is no slave
from thin air
but from equity
is not a hex
on the free markets
It’s a key
to more abundant means
for all who want to reap
It does not break
the bonds
of truthful equity
There is no slave
from thin air

Every Mother is a Pope
To keep house
is a diocese
just as every
mother is a shepherd
there is no higher order
than to raise the little lambs
which is why others
want to take the job
and shuttle
them to school
in such a manner
as to ignore
her papal authority

Poetry That Never Finds a Poem
In a non-zero sum
gamer of life
tokens of poetry
flow through the system
without exiting
teasing in fragments
Not a true writers block
and yet writer be blocked
...all the same
Is it fair to say
that such things
can exist this way
forever...
in a non zero sum game?

We Might Have Strength for Today
Sometimes a soul
is like a beaten donkey
unable to speak
for itself
until the bitter blows
are near too much to bear
Sometimes we all
must wonder
at what point
is too much
too much to take
but if that point is passed
the spirit will escape
yet until that point
for all around
we must fight for life
and love and friends
If peace does not
evade us
it will be
all the better
and we’ll linger
many, many days
is like a beaten donkey
unable to speak
for itself
until the bitter blows
are near too much to bear
Sometimes we all
must wonder
at what point
is too much
too much to take
but if that point is passed

From the Power of Your Hand, Printing Slavery
A slave to your virtue
...prey to your vices
Your hand is a press
pen in your hand
signing your bonds
backed by fear
...and the promise
of all your love
while blindfolded
to your printing press
your commitment
mocked as though
thin air made it
and yet even
our own nation
holds in declaration
Only the people
shall make our money
for only we hold this power
with our pen in our hands
...prey to your vices
Your hand is a press

You Found the Key to Her Heart
No one could be more
deserving
of all of God’s sons
she has known
Beyond warm smiles
comforting
Though friendly and cordial
she’s locked up
and very rightly so
heart kept safe
waiting for the angel
sent for her
and only her
Not because it’s so easy
or most fun
something is right
and easy
and it’s the way your key
slips into
her heart
deserving
of all of God’s sons
she has known
Beyond warm smiles
comforting
Though friendly and cordial

waiting for the angel

Black History Month is Awesome!
Cool fact about
our black voters
wise to kleptocracy -
they want to vote
in person
smart accountability
I am thankful for what
the black community
has done to save us from
the spiteful grifters
who would have
destroyed us
by misusing our
diversity
without them to
have our backs
I don’t know how
America
would have defended
brotherhood
and liberty

Breaking - The End of Silence
Cheaters never win
Silence isn’t always golden
For example
when the First Amendment
is muzzled
What do I know?
I’m just an American
I only witnessed
a stolen election
How can a felon
a rapist mobster
become president
How can ballots
be counted
after the lawful deadline?
How can we stand by
ruled by conspiracy
...and merely be silent?
