POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Overhang
It's morning. You should have left by now. But you like to linger. I can still feel you inside me. I try to expel you. Shiraz stains the toilet bowl. But still you remain. What do I have to do to get you out of my veins? You answer me with a razor blade. But how long would I have to bleed before you just leave? You're mocking me. You always speak before you think! What is that you say? You keep me warm on lonely nights? But you make me sweat during the day. Now you think you make my heart race? Are you referring to the palpitations? You're killing me! You always think you have a solution to...

Plaything
Plaything
The one you walk past
All pretty in a box
Untouched
You want me
Pull the ribbon off
Amazed
You touch me
Comb my hair
Dress me up
Painted eyes stare
Bored
Bend my legs
See how far they go
Manufactured to be broken
This you know
Amputated
Naked
On your floor
Thrown in the bin
Not wanted anymore
Shopping
For plaything
She beckons you
Open her up
Break something new
The one you walk past
All pretty in a box
Untouched
You want me
Pull the ribbon off
Amazed
You touch me
Comb my hair
Dress me up
Painted eyes stare
Bored
Bend my legs
See how far they go
Manufactured to be broken
This you know
Amputated
Naked
On your floor
Thrown in the bin
Not wanted anymore
Shopping
For plaything
She beckons you
Open her up
Break something new

Just A Bit Of Fairy Tail
Prince Charming rode in without a horse.
He did not even need wheels.
Only words to fuel her ignition.
Hot wired and heavy.
Breaking in her biggest sin.
The joy ride became a bit of a binge.
She drove away with a new dent every night.
Bruises only revealed in the morning light.
But unlike scars these would fade.
The blood was in watching them dissipate.
She called the panel beater and met him in a dark alley somewhere.
He said there must be some mistake.
He could not find a dent or even a little scratch.
Undeterred she called him back....

Only words to fuel her ignition.
Hot wired and heavy.
Breaking in her biggest sin.
The joy ride became a bit of a binge.

Smoking is bad for you
I breathe you in with every cigarette that you left
Me with an addiction, an affliction, of what is right and wrong
And where the hell I belong
Somewhere in this smoke I guess...
‘Why does Mummy have fire?’
“Because she wants to burn’
How can I tell you these words?
That trapped me, sapped me of all my strength
Cursed creativity for you I bent
All the rules broken and now I’m just choking
Smoke willows next to my heart
A lung just an organ that failed to start
Protesting against your lies
Coughing up the black shit that refused to fly...
Me with an addiction, an affliction, of what is right and wrong
And where the hell I belong
Somewhere in this smoke I guess...
‘Why does Mummy have fire?’
“Because she wants to burn’
How can I tell you these words?
That trapped me, sapped me of all my strength
Cursed creativity for you I bent
All the rules broken and now I’m just choking
Smoke willows next to my heart

Protesting against your lies
Coughing up the black shit that refused to fly...

Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day
Just another day I am surrounded by flowers. It is always the same. But love I have learnt from observation always ends this way. I envision the lone strangers embrace after the procession fades. The songs are always the same too. Haunting melodies, I wish I could move. I hear the tears desperately drop to the desolate ground, parched petals wilt towards the water but most of them are fake, so it is useless anyway, a bit like this place. Where love leaves unrequited and apologies go astray.
I lie here under the sun, feels like eternity observing...

where else?
A Daintree of canopies caress her skin,
the danger of beauty dense within.
Sweet air lingers,
with the salty taste of tribulation.
A tranquil lagoon,
lies still with the strength of myriad maternal monsoons.
Watched wisely by the canopy,
palm fronds protecting her painful privacy.
Beneath the blue hole she gives birth,
a deprived placenta plateaus in a waterfall of grief.
She hauls her body back to the banks,
and sits heavier without him.

Used
Take it, spread it, like you can
Bend it, break it, like a man
Grind it, gape it, go your way
Strip it, suck it, say you'll stay
Burn it, bruise it, let it bleed
Ejaculate all over me
Open your legs, not your heart
We will be two dudes apart
Hold it, heal it, in a cape
Shower it, shield it, must be fate
Tremble it, taste it, when you're done
Lavish it, linger it, like the one
Scorn it, sour it, spit it out
Leave me naked in your doubt
Point your penis to your heart
We will be dudettes apart
Bend it, break it, like a man
Grind it, gape it, go your way
Strip it, suck it, say you'll stay
Burn it, bruise it, let it bleed
Ejaculate all over me
Open your legs, not your heart
