Soul pinball.
recoil the inner sanctum,
whittled down to a pinhead.
Head dead trying to figure out why these games must be played.
Waves can't be tamed,
All these emotions like a typhoon.
I'm the type dude that don't want to waste the words "i like you",
because I feel like you,
have made a point to me that there's more to life than being held down by chains.
Not a game.
I don't play,
You heart is yours to stay.
Defeatism taste like shit.

So I get it now.
It's the thing my father told me about.
The monster that would burn my bridges.
The thing he wanted lifted before he was lifted away from me.
Not until now did I realize how right he was.

I'm awaiting your release.
Don't know what's going on,
Days like this I don't feel strong.
Sensitive as can be and that is me.
Learning how to not be ashamed of who I am meant to be.
