When we met I was in love with another
Clearly damaged trying to share a married man
Drenching your shirt for months crying over the brokenness
It was dumb of me to think he would leave behind
The love of his life ,,, for sexual bliss
After months of crying finally my eye lifted
The sun was out and life was perfect
There! You stood like my knight in shining armor
Metal damaged by constantly frights, long lonely nights, and senseless fights
