What's Another Year?
It’s always the same, but maybe this time, it’ll be different
So I’ll power through the bleakness of January
Couples come, couples go
Caught up in the lovesickness of February
Seems like just another fucking day
In the midst of March
It’s dark and wet and I’m still sad
As the rain pours down and washes over April
I pretend to be as happy like the blooming blossoms
As I observe the blurry petals of May
Tan, sweaty, and tired of people
As I walk the blazing path of June
Crowds of people, sparks, and...
So I’ll power through the bleakness of January
Couples come, couples go

Flower Petals
You remind me of flower petals.
So pretty
So flawless
So miraculously elegant
Yet so unnoticed by the outer world
But, fret not
For I notice
And I observe
You being whisked away by the slightest breeze
Oh, how I wish to take you away instead
I feel you,
You are gentle to the touch
Your silk-woven fingers
Run across my cheek
You rest your forehead against my own
As your star-speckled eyes gaze upon mine
In your eyes ...
So pretty
So flawless
So miraculously elegant
Yet so unnoticed by the outer world
But, fret not
For I notice
And I observe
You being whisked away by the slightest breeze
Oh, how I wish to take you away instead
I feel you,
You are gentle to the touch

Ana
I met a girl named Ana
Who spoke to me one day.
She told me wonderful things
Like how to be perfect in each and every way.
She mentioned that she had a secret
One that very little knew of.
I was dying to know what it was, so I begged and begged.
She finally told me what she had to hide.
"If I tell you my secret, you have to keep quiet."
I promised not to tell a soul, to keep it on the inside.
"I am the embodiment of perfection and beauty."
Her voice was soft sounding and smooth.
I asked her, "how do you do it?" ...

A Melody Among the Stars
A tiny twinkle emerges from the dark,
Then another, as if on cue
One by one, stars branch out, finally within sight
A symphony of sparkles among a dark purple hue
Glancing at the sleeping world below
The stars begin tremble with delight
They flicker and zoom across the firmament
A song spreads out, controlling the night
The stars dance to an unfamilar tune
Glistening and scurrying to make a lullaby
Creating notes to fit the score
As a beautiful melody floods the sky
The world below them cannot listen
Nor...
Then another, as if on cue

Just a Glance Away
Side by side on this crooked, wooden bench
Yet miles apart from each other
I feel her prensence leaving me at ease
So close yet so far
I could speak up, grab her attention
Let her know I'm still here
That I don't plan on turning my back on her
That she doesn't have to be alone.
Her smile is like pure light
But I'm trapped within this neverending dusk
I've seen it, a time or two
But I'm too nervous to gaze upon it this time
Hours passed,
Days turned to weeks,
Weeks went into months,
And finally years....
Yet miles apart from each other

The Hater
She spits at the sky,
And loves to say the word 'goodbye'
Her eyes are like fire,
And the flames are getting higher...
SHE IS THE HATER.
He growls at the moon,
And wants his life to be over soon.
He glares at everything in sight,
And surely gives everyone a fright.
HE IS THE HATER.
I yell at the sun without delight,
Because it is just too damn bright,
I find no joy in life, oh cant you see?
I hate everything on this Earth, including me...
I AM THE HATER.
You relate to every word I say,
And understand that night...
And loves to say the word 'goodbye'
