Half Past Hell in IKEA
It's half past hell in IKEA
In a dream I can't escape
I can't find my way out
Too many people bumping
It's a Sunday morning nightmare
I've just my third beer
Slow dancing with the blues
Since the moment I got here
A salty yellow sliver of salmon
Lies dormant on the plate
Please take me out back and shoot me
Or in either parking lot
Just please don't just let my body rot
At High Noon in the sun
You can throw me in ditch
Or in a halting site
Just don't leave me here
In Ballymun
In a dream I can't escape
I can't find my way out

Her Love
Her love
It's like dinner with the devil
When she smiles
You better beware
She dyes her hair
To fool every one
Well she doesn't fool me
With her soft seductive words
And blinking blue eyes
Underneath it all
No one really knows her at all
Oh she walks into the room
I feel darkness next to her
I can see it in her aura
Can you see it too
I used to feel so guilty
Talking to the water fountain
Now I know the truth
I've come along way
The last few months
I believe it's ok now
To feel...

Toes, feet and legs reving up speed
Suspended and frozen in dream
Past the last house on the corner
As the ghosts come out to play
In the early morning hours of winter
Bound by them on my back
A reel of string sits in my stomach
Needing to be wound like anxiety
Overwhelming the light of the plough
The steps I walked still cobble stone
Wood and water both overgrown
Depth and incline precisely engraved
The creeks from rusted hinges
Douglas fir perfumes. My finger tips
Trace the wooden frame in search
Of hope...

Welcome Home to Ireland Boy
Walking through Tacumshane
Early Easter Monday morning
I saw the spirit of a man
Like dust through amber light
He pointed to his left at
What appeared to be
A billion so flashing lives
All Irish proud and free
They may have left the Island
But their names remain the same
I've been dead awhile my friend
But our blood runs through your veins
Then he introduced him self to me
Informally as John Barry
And having been a sailor once
I knew exactly who he was
Welcome home to Ireland boy
you've been gone...

The one you wanted

On what could have been

When the sun blinds our eyes
And when rain just seems to pour

Hand in hand
Never looking down
Only straight ahead
On what needs to be completed
Standing tall before it all
I've your back and
You have mine
Time and time again
I know I can depend on you
And I am your strength ...

Drinking black coffee
Smoking cigarettes
Todays newspaper hasn't got here yet Sometimes I feel like I'm living on the TV screen

Trazodone
Oxy powder all over my nose
That girl upstairs in my bed needs get up and go She better not come down here
Wearing my cloths

On the radio
Today I don't know where the hell I'm gonna go

The Lady's Stairs
Yellow gorse petals of early Spring
Perfume obsessed thoughts
Lady Taylor your stairs haunting
To my secret beach I walk
Your voice embracing sweet demesne
The green paint chipped and rot
Footsteps lacquer so cold and hollow
The clove hitch securely taut
The manila makes me feel like a man
Perfection is a hangman's knot
To wrench my vertebrae apart
Escape to what is left to dreaming
Childhood slowly rocks
The Mournes sweep into the sea
Forgetting all that is lost
