from darkness comes the light (and hopefully air conditioning)

power still out,
darkness will soon turn towards the dawn
Eta was all wet talk and small bluster balk
moved through quickly
only to find her lose her mighty
now—
I still, in the last of the darkness
only a heartbeat ~ sweat drops speak
waiting [always waiting]
for mine, not to be thine own
amongst darkness,
shown
a plea.. she cries!
harken for those cooling sighs

the truth is out(age) there.
Hurricanes & tropical storms always seem to blow through in the middle of the night.
My power just went out.
Joy.... (sarcasm)
I'm not sure this is common knowledge, but it's still hot here.. like, I have to run my AC , kinda hot.
No power = No air conditioning = Miserable Blue
I'm going to do a dance (in my head) of quick power restoration to the power God's!
I have my two extra cell batteries charged,
as well as an extra laptop battery.
I also have it all plugged into my portable small battery charging hub thingamajigy......

Mis-truths, falsity, obfuscate, mislead. . . .
A lie is a lie is a lie - turned screed
'By any other name'
There's no sweetness here,
Just a typical bewilderment
of all that's unclear
To say one thing
and mean another
such brutality
in a victim's blinded falter
Spinning tales
as weakness devours,
no hint or whim,
disregarding facts as truth dully sours
Unashamed wicked tongue
spews from a pulpit of lies
With no empathic care
of the damage in lying cries
The powers that be stay...

is like trying to catch time;
The remembrance of your lips,
one millisecond
an eon;
You are my heart's
own
black hole.

When I awake
still foggy from jagged sleep,
Gone is your warmth,
yet
your musky scent permeates;
With the deepest breath
I capture you in my chest,
where you've always been.

the taste of true love [an ode to my delicious dark super hero]
O coffee my coffee
'tis your delicious might
that courses through my veins
with each sip I alight
As I slowly conform
from an overnight beast,
on just your aroma
awakened I feast
a humanoid-like entity
does slowly emerge
your glorious essence
on caffeine I'll now surge
You're always my champion
never letting me down
it's you, coffee (always!)
