Growth
Smart kid
Top of the class
Perfect attendance
Homework done fast
Friends with most and teachers agreed
Of all of the students most prone to succeed
Last year of primary he gained lots of weight
Saw his friends growing up, staying in shape
This killed his confidence, bullies weren't helping
First was his body, now mind is unhealthy
Quit football, the one thing he did out of school
Keeping his shirt on when hitting the pool
Soon he closed off from all socialising
Told himself he needed nobody besides him ...
Top of the class

Family Matters
One way or another, we all suffer
Give love to my brother and my mother
My sister and father, they're all covered
Cause one way or another, we all suffer
Depressive sessions last forever
But we're better
When we're together
No weather cause get us too fed up
All tethered so whether we mess up you tell us we're better off keeping our head up
Rain can't break through any umbrella
That's real family
You talk, I listen, that's true understanding
We might fight on the landing
But keeping it candid
The times I've seen...
Give love to my brother and my mother

Save The Streets
When the days repeat
When you strain your feet
I just walked a hundred miles for my plate last week
Been awake, can’t sleep
Getting late, I’m tweaking
Don’t do this shit for entertainment tryna chase mah dreams
My mother telling me I’m wasting all the brains I’ve been
Given, take my seat
Get the grades I’ll need
Go be a psychoanalyst or something, save our teens
And that’s a great idea mum but it doesn’t change one thing
These little loud lugging losers wanna take our streets
If they play my beats
Hear the way I speak
Maybe...

‘Eets and ‘eers
Dre Beats on my ears so the beats in my ears
and the beats that I hear bring me peace and a tear
I release what I’m keeping in here and i plea for a cheer so at least I can feast for a year
And know peace from the beast in my ear
I know Jesus and priests volunteer wanna preach to me, fear
Wanna teach to me reasons to beat all my peers
Gimme seeds that I weep on that breed upper tier

Times Change
Getting used to the long nights
Anything it takes to make paper
Willing to run any distance
Dodging the snakes across acres
Come out the trees, reached clearing
Used to be blinded by the vapour
No longer a slave to the caper
Narrowly missed the court hearings
Flipped packs to pick pack
Did that for quick cash
Kids slashed to get bags
Wrist gash, was slit bad
Now I’m on to new shit
Plowing on this journey with the music
Warehouse work, how I’m gonna do this
Tower up the queen heads

Fuck it, I ain’t going out in public
I don’t get how people love it
I don’t think that I’m too good for that but usually I snub it
I prefer some peace and quite
Put some tunes on, tune my diet
When I got out drinking seems like everybody wants to riot
Where’s the time for conversation?
I use my imagination
It can seem like I do fuck all, I put pro in crastination
Start a project, rarely finish
Start a new one just to bin it
If it comes out less than perfect, wasted time invested in it
Only keeping that for...
