Two hands to hold you close
Two legs to run to you
Two eyes to see your beauty
Two feet to stand by your side
Two hearts out of billions beating in time
One mouth to spew your lies
Two hands used to push me away
Two legs used to walk out of my life
Two eyes used to hold back my tears
Two feet use to stomp my heart
One heart out of billions loving myself
One hand to let the past go
One leg to lift me back up
One eye that watches you leave
One foot to take the first step

Sticks and Stones
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words can always cut me
Your actions are the knives in my back
Your words are the blades that stab my heart
Your face is now just a nightmare
Your voice is nothing but a haunting scream
Everyone takes your side and joins in
I'm fighting alone in a battle I can't win
There's no one on my side and nowhere to hide
I've been sliced and carved to my soul
Now a shell of my former self all I can say is

But your words have finally broke me
But words can always cut me

Silence of sound
My voice goes unheard against the push of the wind
My sound is nothing but a whisper against a roar
The strong storm shoving me a gust into the open plains
Falling to the ground like the hot sand in the great desert
I'm left with the sound of my own thoughts and that great wind
Each step I take sinks deeper into the spice scented sand
Looking up and seeing that blue sky so hauntingly silent
My heart beating in time with the vibrations all around
I am one with the silence of sound
My sound is nothing but a whisper against a roar

Our Love
For all the years we were together
I thought I love you meant forever
And no matter what challenges our love could weather
But now I'm just a clown, someone, you can beat up and push around while I'm lying on the ground
I can see it now through an outsiders eyes
But now it's too late to see my future fate lying here
While I silently cry I finally realized that you're not worth my tears or time
so I'm the one who chooses to say good-bye
Turn back the hands of time before I fell for that cheesy smile and...

Standing still as everything races by
We're all running the marathon of life

Everything around us is just a blur

1. Blessed by the rivers of tears I've cried
2. All my life I've cried alone
1. Gifted with knowledge of past mistakes
2. Yet doomed to forever repeat them
1. Sharing my heart with those I love
2. Haunted by my emotions that went to waste

The Oak Tree
The tickle of grass beneath my feet
listening to the birds chirping and watching squirrels run free
Finding wisdom and peace under the old oak tree
I have grown, loved, and lost under its sturdy branches
Turning pages from all the classics basking in the silence as time passes
All the secrets I have whispered in its quite hole
Finding who I really am growing with the oak tree
It feeds off my oxygen and I feed off its energy I am a part of it and it me
Even after growing up and moving away, I bring my children to the place I was set free

Untold Story
The pages of the book turn as I reach a new chapter
My mind turns on as the lights go out
This silence hurts more than the pitch-black darkness
Your life was a burning candle that the cold wind blew out
Smoke from your candle rises as if to say goodbye
Time to close the cover and walk away
We were only halfway done now these pages are blank
My pen dried out the same day your smile did
No words, only tears cover the pages
Can I even call this a book with unfinished pages?
The day you died this became the untold story
My mind turns on as the lights go out

Can you hear the angels playing their harps so innocent and sweet
Can you hear the demons blaring their trumpets of hate and war?
Pushing and pulling you while your head is torn and your heart is sore
Which side will the battle of life which side will win both the day and the night?
With the angels, I feel that I am finally home
With the demons my worries grow could
The angels took me in and shielded me from the cold
The demons took my anger and let it grow into a new person detached from me

Questioning our Angels
There are no angels, only those who fight the demons that dare face the light.
The demons that cast shadows on the brightest of rays. The demons who never let someone feel the lights' engulfing warmth. Demons that consume a child's life and births true evil.
Then there are "guardian angels" who are the souls who are brave enough to fight them. Those are the only souls that we trust to save us from ourselves. So what does that make us? who does that make us? are we ourselves the very thing that we fear? When did we become the shadows we were taught to run from?
How can we...

How can I forgive you after you brought guns out
Accept your sorry after you enlisted an army to shoot me down
What was once our home is a battlefield now
How did this relationship turn into a war
I can't even tell you what we are fighting for
Yet you brought a civil war to my front door
You switched up and betrayed me
If life is a game you played me
The plan from the jump was for you to attack me and run
You're out of bullets so why point your gun
Our friendship has turned into strife now
So many memories you just buried in...
