murderous lies
living murderous lives
you say it's not still blood
when it dries
crimson ribbons
turned brown and black
it doesnt matter the shade
if the knife's still in your back
you walk around
limping
from the pain in your spine

welcome to the murder machine
put a rusty coin in
turn the key
how could we have known
bleeding hearts assimilate
sitting in a minefield
drinking whiskey
high tops reaching higher
than our hopes ever could
the sun sets like it's running
from some invisible enemy
the sniper called "love"
come to gun us down

[sawdust sutra serenade]
open salted wounds
laughing as you
pull my sutras out
smiling as the words
spew out
like sawdust, dry and scratchy
and i'm obliged to share
that i never loved you anyways
for my love transcends
the bad things
