Meh, don't care.
I don't live by any kind of creed,
Don't really hear any damsels in need,
So in reality there's no need for me to mount a majestic steed,
Or make intricate charms out of candy beads,
What does it matter if I leave my clothes on the floor it's my home I have the deed,
And my wilted grass looks marvelous thank you so I have no intention of buying seed,
If you're wondering why I'm so happy I'll give you a good lead,
I let the outside world take care of itself because why bother with what's happening downstairs.

Hit and Miss
I don't breathe,
The air only escapes,
Out of holes in my neck,
Dripping words down onto my hands,
After applying exasperated ink,
The exhausted paper drapes,
As the second joker in a deck,
Unused in games of sport and unwanted by popular demand.

My Dearest Levallan
My dearest Levallan,
By now I had fully intended to be miles away,
But my weary feet forbid me from moving on,
While my even wearier heart beseeches me to stay,
By now I woefully assume that you have either completely forgotten me,
Have moved on to a more receptive lover in my absence,
Or that worst of all you are so racked with anger and grief that I'm the last person you want to see,
The possibility that you could perceive me as maliciously apathetic to you and our love devastates my conscience,
For that could be no further from the truth,
Without you I...

I Have Big Plans, BIG Plans
It's temporary,
My plans aren't restricted by,
Hair nets and clock ins.
I'm right on schedule,
I'll be ready to retire,
In a few more years.

You Don't Know Clean Like I Do
This pan just won't do,
As you can see it's dirty,
Put it through the wash.
Can water purge grease,
Not hot or cold but scalding,
Enough to sear flesh.
Unwanted blotches,
And all things original,
Are not fit for kings.

Put it through the wash.

Unwanted blotches,

Which Doctor
Reciting prayers,
Body splayed across the floor,
Reaching for heaven.
Knees gnarled and bent,
Mouth calloused from oration,
Hands clasped tightly shut.
Passionless faith is,
Just ceaseless recitation,
Magic doomed to fade.

Monochromatic Monologue
She utters faint sounds,
I swear they're syllables,
But they sure aren't words.
Hidden behind veils,
Of succulent red flesh,
And rigid white bone.
Her "words" shatter glass,
But will never compensate,
For their lack of worth.
I swear they're syllables,
But they sure aren't words.
Hidden behind veils,
Of succulent red flesh,
And rigid white bone.
Her "words" shatter glass,
But will never compensate,
For their lack of worth.

Termination
Five letters to cover a million,
A nonchalant approach to spilled ink on a page,
A casual glance at the sky to depict rain,
When standing in the eye of a hurricane,
Fear not little bird you're still safe in your cage,
Your cost of admission covered with gold bouillons,
One enclosed hour to decipher the meaning,
Behind liquid metaphors and technicolor lead,
All candidly exchanging inside jokes and dance techniques,
For their next session of flying off the page,
Wondering what else it will take to get inside their head,
Depictions of knights...

Conversations With Someone In Love
It's like a hole in your throat,
So that your words can leak out,
Cause good luck trying to talk to her.
She's like your favorite winter coat,
That you wear whenever you're having a bad day or attending the obligatory annual family cookout,
It may violate dress code and it may not even be hot outside but you still want to be with her.
Actually now that I think about it it's kinda like writing poetry,
You mark off all the "mistakes" you made or just little quirky phrases you think you should change,
But at the end of the thing you know that it...

The Earth Is Flat So Push Them Off It
Oh foreigner interaction,
I'm only ready for a fraction,
Of the time I have to spend with them.
Let me put my tongue on safety,
For the porcelain dolls that can hear me,
Breaking the sound barrier.
And to all the fans of malice,
Who thoroughly enjoy the practice,
Of me damning all of them to the flames.
So I sincerely apologize,
For my colleague's patronizing state of mind,
That causes them to lose their fangs.
I promise that my path will bring you,
The surest way to undo,
The cancer spreading across the country.
Just bathe yourself...

The Dog, The Bear, And The Maggot
The Dog is structured,
Always working to preserve,
Familial ties.
Diligent service,
Loyal to love and country,
Strong yet still servile.
The Bear is nurtured,
A hunter in fair weather,
Useless in winter.
Promises plenty,
But bleeds his own forest dry,
Water, trees and all.
The Maggot is cankered,
A hollow soul and stomach,
Skulking forest floors.
Can only scavenge,
ON the corpses of others,
And their fellow man.
Always working to preserve,
Familial ties.

I Speak To Mirrors
Alone,
Such a familiar circumstance,
Throwing the voices in my head a bone,
With my "happy and lucky to be lonely" dance.
Anxious,
Every tap of the foot, every drip from the sink, every whisper in my ear,
An invitation to the matrimony of repressed animosity and eremitic delusions,
Amputating parasitic affairs and wretched company at the altar of solitude where independence is revered.
Desperate,
One last gasp of that cold night air,
Before my head finds another tenant,
To occupy the vacancy underneath my hair.
