POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
A poetess? I shall leave that determination to others.
Splintered Dreams
Many a ship lay splintered
upon the shoals
of a cold heart
for lack of safe harbor
in times of stormy seas
upon the shoals
of a cold heart
for lack of safe harbor
in times of stormy seas

Shakespearian Like
Be not now wishing to be
that which you want to be
but do now what you must
to become that
which you wish to be
that which you want to be
but do now what you must
to become that
which you wish to be

Me Myself and I
At night when thought to be asleep
I feel him leave our bed
down the hall I hear him creep
to be with her instead
His fingers whisper words of love
to this one he texts
though he thinks I know not of
I really am quite vexed
This woman's intuition knows
when something is amiss
thus keeping me upon my toes
for moments such as this
I know that I could never leave
for the children's sake
yet wishing I could get reprieve
from what appears my fate
If I could only clone myself ...
I feel him leave our bed
down the hall I hear him creep
to be with her instead
His fingers whisper words of love
to this one he texts
though he thinks I know not of
I really am quite vexed
This woman's intuition knows

I know that I could never leave

To My "Westie"
Out of da bed, five hours ago
took a few cups, 'til into da flow
Out in da yard, cut all da grass
not enough time, sit on my ass
Jump in da shower, remove all of da stink
feelin' too yucky, jus' wash in da sink
Fix me a bowl, maybe corn flakes
jump in da car, off to da lake
When I get there, I'll try to relax
fix me a drink, "then" sit on my ass
May play some cards, avoid all da work
listen to music, 'n possibly twerk
BUTT I DOUBT IT
Try 'n have fun, 'til bones...

Carnage Beneath
Though the sun was at shine
and light winds were blowing
those living there, felt
doom and foreboding
Sixteen steel steeds
of thunderous sound
cyclone like winds
and the shaking of ground
The collateral damage
caused only by man
brought upon those
who inhabit the land.
When all said and done
there's few places to hide
causing some of those left
to be eaten alive
Sometimes this happens
before passersby
for no other reason
than pleasing the eye
For the reasons...

This isn't I
This nine to five job
makes me fidget and sigh
I am not this, this isn't I
A life lived in want
days spent in a lie
I am not this, nor is this I
Thoughts upon paper
appearing to fly
For all that I wish is, I wish this be I
A weaver of words
bringing laughter or cries
This is my wish, that some day, this be I
For a poet to be
I'll continue to strive
If I could do this then I'd feel alive
And if I get there
the question then lies
Can I call me this and if so tell me why
makes me fidget and sigh
I am not this, this isn't I
A life lived in want
days spent in a lie
I am not this, nor is this I
Thoughts upon paper
appearing to fly
For all that I wish is, I wish this be I
A weaver of words

This is my wish, that some day, this be I
For a poet to be

If I could do this then I'd feel alive
And if I get there

Can I call me this and if so tell me why

Amply Trampled
Neglected, rejected and never selected
Afflicted, inflicted and ever addicted
To loves many splendors
To which I'd surrender
Unprotected, subjected to inspection
From those who are twisted
No cure of affliction nor rid of addiction
Only more of the same
And I know who's to blame
I believe there'll be light
If I keep up the fight
For I wish not to flee
Even if it's just slight
And I search yet to find
that one of like mind
Believing he's there
Even if only
of internet...

Gentle In The Night
Food on the table
not many years left
'til no longer able
look good in a dress
She answers her phone
harkened to ride
for jingles and jangles
gathered by hide
Eggs in plain sight
nothing to find
such is her plight
chosen by mind
Never a job
for her work she enjoys
quieting others
with self and some toys
Strangers at first
with wink and a nod
Tom, Dick, and Harrys
an occasional Todd
Not under pressure
just out for the night
paying the bills ...

Lonely Daze and Sleepless Knights
I lay at night upon my bed,
demons dancing in my head.
Thoughts of you, my mind you've got,
reaching downward for my crotch.
A tickle here, a tickle there,
my palm at rest upon my hair.
The warmth of lips thought on my breasts,
a teasing tongue from nipples left.
Travels cross my belly South,
doing wanton things with mouth.
It lingers there above the mound,
gentle lips, my thoughts abound.
Fingers enter, slowly probing,
causing nectar to start flowing.
Gentle flicks and pointed stabs,
soft caresses...
demons dancing in my head.
Thoughts of you, my mind you've got,
reaching downward for my crotch.
A tickle here, a tickle there,

Happy Anniversary
The weight of you
comforts
Your essence within
warms
Gentle of kiss
soothes
Playful your grin
relaxes
No words need said
pleases
Ever in my heart
engulfs
Love wraps itself
serenity
Forty-nine years
tomorrow
comforts
Your essence within
warms
Gentle of kiss
soothes
Playful your grin
relaxes
No words need said
pleases
Ever in my heart
engulfs
Love wraps itself
serenity
Forty-nine years
tomorrow

I'm ready to go now
I'm ready to go now
Five words, spoken softly by my father,
as I held his hand moments before he passed.
I'm ready to go now
Five words, that now reside permanently within me.
I'm ready to go now
Five words, I hope to repeat when my time comes.
Written as my tears fall
Five words, spoken softly by my father,
as I held his hand moments before he passed.
I'm ready to go now
Five words, that now reside permanently within me.
I'm ready to go now
Five words, I hope to repeat when my time comes.
Written as my tears fall
