Ocean
That old ocean,
salty and steady,
its stomach has been churning
since the day it was born.
Blue/ink-black in the depths
of open ocean.
Clear/Windex blue-turquoise green
at the beach, where the waves
constantly sift the shore sand.
That great salt pond that retains
the minerals rivers and streams
have brought from faraway places.
Who are we to know all its mysteries?
We stand at its edge in fear and wonder.
Curiosity and an adventurous spirit
move some to sail out of sight of land
towards the horizon, which is...

Sunday Night
You are my Sunday night.
Monday begins a grind of necessity.
Tuesday are meeting ‘s of improbabilities
Wednesday is the hump that is starting to maim
Thursday is the breaking point of talking in vain
Friday is the day that will relieve some stress
Saturday waking up in a tangled mess
Sunday is where my heart lies
Staring and know I will continue
just as you look at me that way with those eyes.

My Day with Luigi Mangione
It was a day I’d never forget
me and my homie Luigi
on the 4th of December
from approximately 6am to 6pm
fixed up my old Monte Carlo
drove from New York to Florida
met a few musicians
joined their band
I played guitar
while Luigi was on drums
playing for hours on end
when done we helped clean up
met a couple of nice ladies
I don’t know what got into my bud
but he said we should fly to Paris
take the ladies to the Eiffel Tower
I said what the heck
drank some whine and ate some bread
luigi wanted to drive...

Beware Of The Mink
If you want a mink as a pet
You will end up with regret
Unless you get one when it is small
Adult ones can't be domesticated at all
They are aggressive predators of sorts
Never thinking twice before they bite
They'll strike and sometimes even maul
They don't make a safe pet at all

I Spent the Day Thinking About You
The universe
In all her infinite wisdom
Reminds me not to stray
A beaten path has it’s purpose
I’m of a different cloth
Stitched together by my own hand
A patchwork of pain
Love, longing, togetherness
Your magnetic pull almost capsized me
And to think I spent the day thinking about you
I dared to imagine waking up next to you
I swore I heard the man in the moon laugh
I walk the earth alone
My feet battle worn and scarred
Their resting place will be the darkness that follows

Inklings
The Super Beaver Moon arose;
cloud strata here and there;
like burning respiration flows
of dragon breath despair.
And then the strata soon closed in
to block the lunar light
so apprehension and chagrin
would overwhelm the night.
Arcane tonight; arcane ahead;
where moonbeams just won't do
when planet Earth is cold and dead
and jollity taboo.
Too soon to tell if deep Bluesky
will see me free and clear,
to give myself another try...
as...

Darkness
Given every drop of blood every tear fall until my eyes are as dry as the desert sands
My fight is as pointless as boxing the wind
My sins stain my soul till the point of Judus unforgettable desire to escape this world
I ask the heavenly Father for forgiveness but in the same breathe sin with my heart like an alcoholic saying I'm sorry while gulping down poison to the only answer he will listen too
The music becomes faint as my ears grows deaf to the sound
I look to the heavens for an answer but the darkness is like blanket of cataracts...
