A mile wide and an inch deep
A kaleidoscope refracting upon the panonrama
Causing immediate catastrophic deterioration
Of the optic sensory while creating rays of gamma
Intensifying and stupefying to a climax
Leading to temporary discomfort and irritation
Culminating with involuntary squinting attacks
What the fuck are you taking about?
The sun was in my eyes.

Outdated
Sometimes things
are outdated
sometimes things
don't work
Sometimes you have to give up
And realise it’s not worth it
But then you
Feel like a failure
And you want to try again
And in the end you think was it all worth it
No not really!

And in the end you think was it all worth it

Possible Trigger: Sexual Assault*
My mother
told me
to never walk alone
at night.
I never
listened to her
until I got a good fright.
He grabbed my hair
from behind
and pulled me down
with force.
He straddled me
and covered my mouth
with no remorse.
With a knife in his hands
his words were
“I won’t hurt ya, if you play nice”.
With my life in my hands
my thoughts were
should I roll the dice?
I closed my eyes
and stayed still

Too Good To Be True
She was the hue of twilight in summer,
the hills rolled before her
like the sea before Moses.
The eternal goddess of my soul.
And then,
she spelled Thursday,
with an “F”
the hills rolled before her
like the sea before Moses.
The eternal goddess of my soul.
And then,
she spelled Thursday,
with an “F”

Grandma
I thought of you today and yesterday but that's nothing new and days before that too.
There are times when I close my eyes and I remember all the memories of you in my mind.
Sometimes it feels like you're still here.
Until I open my eyes and realize you're really not.
My heart gets heavy, and tears tend to appear.
I remember that call early in the morning saying you had passed and suddenly it felt like the world had stopped turning.
I watched you during the last days.
I was with you as much as I could.
At times I wish I had stayed with you a little...

Number One
Try so hard,
Get so far,
Taking it all the way to the end
And when,
In the end...
Trying and pushing
And putting my face to the grindstone
Days and days of endless working
To get to the top
Then just
Stop.
Number one,
One and done.
Then what?
At the end of the road
No where to go
On the edge of a cliff
Previously covered by a mist
Obscuring the view
Of a path to no where.
Number one,
One and done.
How come?
Disappointment
Contempt
That...
Get so far,
Taking it all the way to the end
And when,
In the end...
Trying and pushing
And putting my face to the grindstone
Days and days of endless working
To get to the top
Then just

Nostalgia
Memories suffocate my mind,
Bliss when Mom was alive,
The sickly amount of sugar,
Along with the citric tinge on my lips,
A reminder of things that'll never dissipate.
Lemonade makes me nostalgic.
