RUNNER-UP AWARDS
There are usually 3 winners in any competition: 1ST, 2ND, and 3RD. Here in DUP, there is only ONE winner and a maximum limit of 2 (optional) Runner-Ups.
Is it possible to award the runner-ups as well? Instead of hosts selecting the winner's award, make it standard:
SELECTED WINNER: TROPHY
RUNNER UP 1 (optional): MEDALLION
RUNNER UP 2 (optional): RIBBON
Those who have come close to being a selected winner, but fell short for whatever the reason, can feel true pride of coming close...rather than just having an "honorable mention" with nothing at all to show for it, especially those who have NEVER had the privilege of having been a SELECTED WINNER for any competition.
Only a thoughtful suggestion as an incentive...to help continue motivating and encouraging DUP poets.
