There's an old saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover". Sometimes the final line of a poem is the one that wraps it all up. You might decide not to read a poem without giving it a chance. Sometimes I wish there were no previews available at all.

Respectfully, to anyone who wants the site to entertain such a suggestion:

They're not going to change to accommodate this as an option, honestly, I just don't see it happening.  I'm not taking a stand, one way or the other.  It's just a long row to hoe till coma becomes the new lazy.  You don't want that, do you?

seems like me being lazy has become the focus of this... you dont need to appreciate laziness to see that we could all read more of what we want if we could see the beggining.. i stopped reading the explicit poems that are not by someone i have read.. i dont care for hard core porno sounding stuff.... i think thats why the explicit poems have more views... you need to view it to decide not to view it....   if were signed in and they have our birthday it shouldnt be hard ....

It sounds like you need for an option on your profile to turn on any content. Ok.

Nobody wins a prize for most views. If something is marked as extreme, the poet is telling you not to click if you get offended by extreme stuff, so don't click. Otherwise, just click, read and don't comment. What will you get by peeking at a poem? Are you looking for a bunch of dirty words to start the poem off? If you are willing to go past the extreme warning, what could be in the poem that you won't want to read? You can't offend the writer any more by reading and not commenting or liking their poem, so what's your real motivation for this.
By the way, if you are going to make offensive remarks about women, you won't get any support from the one that makes decisions on this website.

Has it gotten so bad that just mentioning the existence of an ugly woman is offensive about women?.. And what do I care about how many views a poem has I m not here for prizes. What don't you get about not wanting to click twice for every extreme poem?.. I'm not offended by anything even your ignorance..your just mad because my comment showed how stupid yours was...so if your done hassling me I'll stop hassling you... And if you want to click with your eyes closed go ahead. Just quit trying to make it look like I don't have a valid point.

I'm looking for style I'm looking for vocabulary I'm looking for subject matter. All usually identifiable in the preview.

This actually makes sense. It'd be nice if the extreme warning poems were readily visible to people over the ages of 18, just with "extreme warning" written near the title somewhere and the clicky thingy only poped up for people who haven't specified their age or are under 18. in my opinion.

And if the world is a place where the woman in charge of a website would ignore a suggestion because she didn't like the man suggesting it it shouldn't be and I give her more credit than you.
