This is already an option.

If the Moderator attending to the report disagrees, he or she simply unflags it.

The problem is, there is no real Guideline Whatchamacallit that details what constitutes as spam, so it's left open to interpretation.

Basically spam is blasting away with identical to similar posts that are irrelevant to a topic or distracting focus of the readers from the topic.

So, in order to bypass this, attention whores spam loosely related content and if any of it gets removed, they cry like little bitches that their Freedom of Speech right is being trampled upon.

i didnít know that was an option.  one problem with the definition of spam is it doesnít cover threads designed to spam. they rarely deviate from topic- but they consist of the same or similar often posted by the same one person.

idk. like Iíve said, Iím doubtful anything will change unless we somehow reach a critical mass of bullshit, and apparently weíre not there yet

True. Some threads are community affairs, while others are just one person jumping up and down waving their arms shouting, Look at me! Look at Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! The latter usually die a swift death from natural causes ( mostly disinterest ). Unless the poster is purposefully using them to bump other threads from the list at the bottom of the page, they are pretty much harmless.

as you regularly do.

also this is not a thread for politics. Iíll ask everyone subscribed to please not respond, and let the troll go hungry.

Are we not imploring authority to consider ideas?

I beg the leadership to conserve freedom of speech in the name of art and culture.
