Beauty may lie within that which goes unnoticed.

For me beauty is attraction. Anything will glow with blinding brightness and full colors if you're attracted by it and at the same time it will leave the background under saturated and tedious.

My eyes
tell me
you look beautiful
but my mind
insists
on knowing
what lays beneath
the chemicals
that hang off your skin

I hate cliches, but firmly believe, 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'

As with most things Beauty is the opposite of what convention says it is :-)

It's a laugh that isn't forced;
out loud and unfiltered.
It's breakfast on Sunday mornings
followed by a Netflix-binge
in dingy teeshirts
and tube socks.
It's listening about someone's day,
even though yours went to shit.
It's a moment,
however fleeting,
when you witness the true nature of a person pouring out from within them.
It's a door held open by a stranger.
It's five little fingers
that wrap around your thumb.
It's raw and imperfect,
but wonderfully so.

Fair like the winter's brow,
Wearing the makes of Cherubic's glow.
Eyes dimmed with crystal power,
Breaking through emotion like man-power.
Physiognomy embroided with smiles,
Taking different eyes on mile.
Teeth tinted with glorious scales,
Where joy and happiness lay.
Body sculpted from the rock,
Undaunted and strong like rock.
Legs rounds like the ball of justice,
Adding extra qualities like the suffix.
Speaks not of beauty in true:
Beauty is an heart with many virtue.

OctoberBVBdarklove said:Hello! This is a strange question but I just wanted to express my opinion. I'm a firm believer in inner beauty and love perfect strangers. I always love at least one thing on a person when it comes to outward appearance. I also see talents, devotion, and kindness as beauty. I'm just curious of others opinions
question, some question.
here, mentioned in the quoted is the tanglement of two entities- beauty and love. Obviously who hates beauty? but does it mean someone would go all the way or go out of their way to own it be it an object or some aspect of something or someone? depends on the level of attraction, obviously.
humans, our brains for some reason known best to nature have this subconscious urge to find and recognize patterns in everything.
These patterns be of colors, repetition/arrangement in some sort of order/sequence of all things for examples the arrangements trochees/crests in a verse or a poem- or notes/sounds/melodies in music, the symmetry in shapes, paintings etc. and when they fit perfectly whether we notice them clearly or subconsciously we tend to like them. And that is seen, recieved as obviously beautiful.
And then there is the beauty in spiritual context- like the one in truth. Sweet words full of lies- who likes them? yet harsh but true- saying as it is- appeals to all hearts (whether they acknowledge it or not-depending on how those words impact their situation of course). I am yet to find an answer as to why for the latter than the former- the beauty of non-abstract.

What one calls beauty, and its opposite, are only qualities attributed to the same underlying substance.
Though Beauty itself, taken in its highest sense, is more akin to a divine experience.
