Interesting idea Brando, it is something quite common among musicians, often seeing the highest highs and lowest of lows
I would say looking through history, this is seen among all the arts, just seems more noticed among painters.
I grew up with a young man (musician) who lost the ability to hold reality.
His brain stopped producing the chemical that separates dream from awake state...high depression from disgruntlement ...was very strange...normalcy in conversation one moment, flying with Hendrix the next.
Despite the comment I didn't play along today-My minds in a different space.
Don't call me prick

Carrying on with Brando's theme
Nick Drake. Ian Curtis.* Sia. Billy MacKenzine (The Associates). Richey Edwards (Manic Street Preachers).
* Curtis gave every-fucking-thing into his live performances. Song about young epileptic who died as an indirect consequence of the condition. Referenced in superb film, 'Control.'
