Classical music for me, although I like rock music and jazz too.
Particularly love Chopin and Beethoven.

From my 1st concert early 60s as a barely teen (Dr. John and The Allman Brothers; Led Zeppelin 3 weeks later) to the thousands of concerts and festivals through the years; it’s refreshing to enjoy “newer” artists as well as some old geezers still dancing. Rachel and I recently saw LP here in Nashville area and she is extraordinary.
Genres? Most everything from rock to bluegrass to blues; to John Mayall the Father of British Blues who at 86+ will be here in a few months.

My favorite band is I Prevail - for me they have the perfect mixture of hard screaming and wonderful clean vocals.
You also can feel that their lyrics come from the bottom of their hearts - not just a cheap PR-thing like most of Metalcore-bands a few years ago.
The best examples would be "Low", "Hurricane", "Lifelines" or, my favorite, "Worst Part of Me". Since I'm not allowed to put in URLs yet, it'll be the best if you search for them on YouTube or any other streaming site.
Oh and live... They'll make the house explode, it's just awesome.

Summertime from Porgy and Bess. I've worked on my own version on the piano....tune quite low (resembling Contralto/female bass), tune repeated but quieter, then key changes from A minor to D minor and imaginary saxophone take over, then returns to tonic (A minor) and as haunting as possible.
