Well Damnnnnnn .....

The Rock Fraternity is Well Repped' on this site ..... !!!!!!!!

Interesting ......

Anyone on that tip listen to The Heavy .... ???
Very cool, rock-ish music ....

However, as a poet, Hip Hop has too many to mention in my collection, but y'all claiming to give a damn bout' ish should check out Immortal Technique, more lyrics wise than musically, but SERIOUS Lyricism !

Real Prophecy out of the new brigade, and just taking it back some, Big Daddy Kane is SERIOUSLY Underrated Musically, and Lyrically .....

A Bit of Nitin' Sawhney's always nice to chill to, and one more, Hmmm ...
How about, The Meters .... for those of you who can get down with those classic funky grooves ...... !!!!!!

Oh and I do believe I have a couple of interesting albums of my own out there, Yes Shameless Promotion ... Why Not ... ???

Virges' World Baby !!!!

I like all kinds of music, but my favorite type of music is gospel.  Gospel music can speak to your soul and its the only real kind of music that can make you cry by expressing how you really feel.

PRINCE has inspired in a lot of ways my poetry. His prolific writing abilities his storyline subject matter  and the raw emotions.
My recent epic poem I’m have been working on  their is a section that was inspired by “When Doves Cry”  it is one of my most favorite emotional    sectional part I have written only because what I wrote before and after it. Elements of multiple meanings that was brought in  from a divine  nature.

Personally I've expanded my taste to many different types of music. From Kiss, Def Leppard, Bonjovi, Ac/Dc, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Eric Clapton,Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin upto Linkin Park. But also Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi. Definitely no techno, or modern day hiphop trash and so on.

Anyone who dismisses Techno And Hip Hop , has no claim to the top...;)

Virge , I agree with a lot you posted...but you want variety , check the links

I already posted...then add a lot of the new bands , in many genres...

( I Danced To The Meters New Orleans Jazz Fest 1977 )

I am always expanding my musical reality , and I just turned 64 !

If you can't do that...I will show you the door !

Depends on the mood.

Revolves between mostly Prog Rock, Rap, Classic Rock, Classical, EDM, etc.

Right now, I'm crushing on Phil Collins lead Genesis prior to the 80s. (A Trick of the Tail, Wind and Withering) Also, Teenage Bad Girl and their Cocotte album in its entirety. Klutz by Aesop Rock is getting me grooved. Revisiting Sergei Prokofiev and his piano sonatas again. The 3rd one, in the ol' Allegro style one piece, is just so full of adventure and passion. Can't rush the coda on it, though.
