Same here, I got so many favorites especially in the genre of suspense which I'm a huge fan.  If there's a twist, i'm hooked..I've probably seen most of them.

I wouldn't say I'm a big fan... I liked the first two, disliked The Village and HATED Signs!

Suspense though... oh yeah!! Also psychological thrillers, all the old Whodunnits, and courtroom dramas!

I'll throw in some movies with twists/mystery.
Identity
SAW ( up to 3  was good beyond that don't bother it gets repetitive)
Fight Club
The Machinist
The Others
Gone Girl
Shutter Island
(just to name a few)

now Momento is considered one of the top rated movies in Mystery with twists but I really didn't like it, its shot from the ending first and then it moves towards the beginning.  Its too fragmented but eh its subjective, a lot of people like it.

Clockwork Orange is a masterpiece.  There has never been a movie quite like that.  First time I saw it I was haunted by it for a long time.  But the philosophy of it and the message behind it is more profound than ever before especially what the country and the world is going thru right now.  How much of our rights do we want to relinquish to the government?! (anyhoo, I don't want to make this thread political) But yeah one of my favs for sure.  It's a wonderful movie.

You're right, the first Lampoon's movie is fantastic especially with Christy Brinkley in her bikini by the poolside dancing.  But I felt the Christmas one was absolutely hilarious.

I don't really have many favourite movies and genres. However, The Lord of the Rings is the best movie for me. I still love to watch it from time to time. Viggo is also my favourite actor! My favourite genre is fantasy and drama. However, I will always choose fantasy if the choice is between fantasy and drama. Also important is a good site where I can watch my favourite movies. This is the site https://www.999flix.com/. This site has my favourite movies and genres, making my life much easier and more joyful.

I've caught some really good ones lately: Dirty Grampa with Robert De Niro; A Man Called Otto ( will make you cry ) with Tom Hanks; The Mother with Jennifer Lopez was surprising; Wanda Sykes kicks ass with her new routine; MerPeople was a curiosity watch - who knew?! I can't remember what else, or even if it was Netflix, Hulu, or Prime I watched these on!
