That's a great question, Zazzles!

You are free to assume your own personal theme; however, we will never impose a universal theme in the official challenge. The closest we come is in the adjacent 'Stomp the Prompt Comp' - where you will be provided with prompts you can select from if you find yourself dry. These entries can also be cross posted to your own personal page as well as the official challenge, as long as it meets the official challenge guidelines.

Hello Ava, right okay, I meant like when Johnny writes a story for the NaPo

You'll just have to wait and see on that one.

Ellie,
You are right here,
Bite the bullet take the plunge,
Voices seemingly lost,
Still have courage to be sung.
Channel that verbal roughage,
Let it flow but take some salt,
It's always better out than in
And this,
We've all been there!
So to you all,
A cautionary tale,
Don't be foiled,
Or soiled
By such words as 'this'.

Fiftysevenhours, that was inspiring!

In those dark morn hours
the moon shines large and bright;
bring your pen to paper
to write of love and light;
on days you canít find words
just read the poem prompts
and find your inspiration,
set out to stomp the comp!
you wonít journey all alone,
youíll have good company
among your fellow DU poets
itís NaPo Ď23!

Feel the heat that's now arising
reckon though it's not surprising
given all the talent here
(helped by wine, a pint of beer)
NaPo '23 comes nearer
organise the team to steer a
bunch of writers on their way
to write those poems, one a day.

Wafflenose, fiftysevenhours, Luna Greyhawk ... nice ones, I think you've started something ...
the "Pre-NaPo Warm-up" routine.
