I never pay attention to best before dates. With the exception of meat and probiotics. Made some good scran from my best before stock.

Would you rather buy new or buy second hand?

Second hand, you can find some really cool stuff. I don't feel as guilty for getting it dirty either.

This is a tough one--
Probably my sense of taste.  i KNOW if i can smell nature i am alive as tasting is only to live and live on.

The analytical thing. I’m very much in a state of “what is, is what is”. Analysis kinda depresses me.
