Dear God, yes I have.

Have you ever stepped in dog poop on a walk?

Well, I’ve been soaked to the skin a few times.

Have you ever won a competition of any kind?

Several, actually... some, without even realizing I was in one at all. There was a contest back when I was in eighth grade, for all the students to write an essay about the importance of the Constitution. The thing was, I did not know it was a contest, and thought it was simply an assignment. So, I wrote an especially passionate essay about peoples' rights and how important it is to uphold those rights and even add to rights and expand them over time. I ended up being one of only seven or so children who won, and I was called upon to give a speech, read my essay, and go to a very fancy dinner where I received an eighty-dollar bond. Since I never knew any of that was coming, I was not able to tell my parents so they could come to the ceremonies. So, all my other relatives were there... except my parents. But all in all, it was a good experience and a great honor to have won that at such a young age. I was only thirteen at the time. The same year I also wrote a powerful essay about saving the environment (it was an activism thing) and it got printed in the town newspaper. While that was not due to a contest, it also was a great honor that even ended up having a positive effect on the town I grew up in.

Have you ever been contacted by the spirit of a deceased loved one?

Several times. I’ve just been booked for a women’s event later in the year, and there’s also some irons in the fire about some poetry festivals 👍🏻

Have you ever had somebody write a song about you?
