Well, I believe blue was merely commenting on the atrocities against the LGBT community previously carried out in Florida at the Pulse nightclub. Which makes it totally valid as far as I’m concerned.
And it is sad. Extremely sad that any death, any beating, any atrocity isn’t honoured with the respect it deserves outside of the shoebox of politics.

people generalise areas all the time whether it has a rapport of some sort or has been plastered all over the news especially if it's bad news that trends for weeks on end, i'm yet to find a person who hasn't generalised anything at all whether it's a location, group, person etc
i believe the good lady did actually state that the vile behaviour is not indicative of most floridians nor was she trying to take away any freedoms florida has given to its folks as a state, however sadly as a location florida has had it tough in the news over the years with the pulse nightclub shooting and now the florida pride crash which is incredibly sad to hear about.
people have been questioning and generalising countries, states and cities for centuries, heck even my own country and city has been questioned and generalised for centuries, it'll never stop because it's just a common practice that happens amongst us folks with social media and news highlighting that common practice for us everyday whenever something is reported whether it's good or bad, it's a difficult practice to remove yourself from because it's everywhere. 🤷🏻♂️

maybe that’s why it’s so wrong
it’s not until you’re grown
that you know who Shame is
really
and how it stood beside you all along
how it broke into your house
when you were 12
and watching an old movie with your dad
when Rock Hudson’s name scrolled past
and he said
‘he died from sucking other men’s willies’
Shame sat on your shoulder then
the pot-bellied imp with stubby horns
and laughed
so you laughed as well
not thinking much of it
not knowing Shame was there
later you said what your dad had told you
to another kid and you both agreed
on how disgusting gays are
but Shame came in other
and more subtle ways
like when your brother
who was trying to be supportive
laughed and said
‘so you’ve not done anything with a bloke?’
and suddenly
you’re ashamed of not having sex
there’s no right way
to be gay
you think
so maybe that’s why it’s so wrong
