Aspecting the Cosmos: Fri, Oct 13, 2023: A wonderful opportunity to sow good karma through flowing energy.

Early morning we've two aspects occurring within moments of each other. Firstly, a Libran Moon square Vesta in Cancer. Emotional challenges.  Are we feeling insecure and needy, unable to trust we are loved and supported? Secondly, a dignified Mars in Scorpio trine Saturn in Pisces.  Explosive is the word for Mars in Scorpio! Confidence and determination to stand for who we are and what we believe. A trine with Saturn means easy flow but a propensity to succumb to indolence rather than take advantage of the available energy. Take action. Opportunity to sow good karma.

Tonight Mercury will enter a sesquiquadrate with Saturn. Communication may be limited or totally misconstrued. Mercury governs short trips; therefore, we could experience delays or cancellations of plans and/or appointments.

Lastly, Moon Conjunct Pallas in Libra in the fourth house, the natural home of Cancer ruled by the Moon. This is a house of security and endings and will emphasize emotional aspects. However, with Pallas in the picture, there's a depth that unites emotion and rational thinking. This will enable us to rise above petty squabbles and potential defensiveness.

Today is History's Dakini Day, or Day of the Goddess. Therefore, we are acknowledging all women as Goddesses this month rather than selecting just one Dakini to honor!

Before patriarchy began sinking deep into the roots of civilization, this revered day was known as ‘The Day of the Goddess,’ to pay respect and heed to the Feminine deities, like Venus.

As a symbol of rebirth that females are blessed with, Friday the 13th was a day all for women. In more than one way, the day gives all its glory to the Feminine power. The number 13 represents the female ovulation period (considered a grand phenomenon as menstruating women are at the peak of their energy and power) because just like 13 lunar cycles a year, women also have 13 menstrual cycles a year. All the feminine foundations to this day started to shake loose when menstruating women started experiencing shame in society for bleeding every cycle. The day was to celebrate women and their sexual energy.

When patriarchy found its way into civilization, the very day that celebrated women became a symbol of misfortune because of its association with the feminine. Even though these newly minted beliefs made no sense as we all possess our feminine sides, not only women, but the target was indeed singular sex.

Contrary to popular belief, the number 13 will bring magic into your life. Many buildings do not have a 13th floor. Some even consider their 13th birthday unlucky. In rare cases, the perceived negative notion of the number can cause triskaidekaphobia, an intense fear of the number 13.

But 13 is actually a celestial number, especially in Judaism. It is the age when young boys and girls celebrate their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, meaning they are on their journey to enter adulthood and ready to participate in public worship.

The number 13 is considered very fortunate in Tibetan culture. It’s said to be a divine number and often used in children’s stories. The day is a reminder for hopeless individuals to carry on. It is a day for sinners to repent their bad deeds that will be forgiven in heaven after they complete 13 rounds of prayers.

In numerology, the number 13 symbolizes change. This change is not necessarily negative but most essential to a person’s growth. People are scared of the uncertainty that change brings along. But, it’s a positive time in their life. Transformation and development take us out of our comfort and help us get better and become an evolved version of ourselves. Today is also a day to honor the Moon. The Moon is responsible for our emotions and the majestic feminine aura in our life. It plays a huge part in astrology.

Friday the 13th is an occasion for humans to harness the positive energy of the moon. You can look at the moon and talk about anything on your mind. The practice will open your mind and heart to bring happiness to your life. As per astrology, the Moon represents the maternal vibe.
It gives warmth to us and looks after us like a mother. It is a great time to connect with the maternal figure in your life. This could be your actual mother, sister, or best friend. Make it an evening to bond over shared secrets, aspirations, and goals for the future.

You can also Manifest Good Luck! Even after Friday, the 13th is over, you can still channel good luck in your life. Make it a ritual to buy any charm the next Friday the 13th. Take the blessing of the moon and the goddesses. This can be a great way to bring everlasting luck to your life.

You can also surround yourself with crystals, lucky charms, and talismans like horseshoes to bring positive fortune, and ward off the evil eye and bad luck. You don’t even have to wear a crystal but any charm necklace or bracelet that makes you feel more feminine and powerful. Wear them all the time or decorate your room with them – just take benefit of their good energies, especially during the magical date.

Lastly, PROTECT YOUR ENERGY. It is best to keep your energy protected to experience all of the sacred emotions. Protecting your space is an important way to keep your life drama-free. Getting rid of anyone or anything that disrupts your peace can be the smart thing to do.

While the moon protects us, it is important we shield ourselves from negative people, especially those who drain our energy. Validate and respect how you feel around certain people – they may be your coworker, friend, or even a family member. Thus, protection work is very important, along with other sources of magic or divine work.

Crystals are powerful in cleansing your aura and making you feel more connected to yourself. Obsidian can act as a protection stone— especially against negativity spreads and haters. You can sweep it all over your body, keep it in your home, and place it outside the boundaries of your house.

Some people keep it at their entrance, but it can be placed by a door or a window inside your home. It will keep away potential negative vibes that impact your aura.

New Moon in 21° Libra 07' conjunct the Sun 21°Libra 07' @ 1:56 PM EDT, 10th House, Saturday, October 14th, 2023.

Tomorrow, we welcome the first Autumnal New Moon. Libra is the Cardinal sign of the West, and here to assist our balance as we enter a new season. Cardinal signs are called such because they govern the changing of the seasons.

This New Moon was heralded by the Sun's ingress into the peace-loving diplomat, Libra, who is companionable, refined, judicial, artistic, and more. It will also be preceded by a Solar Annular Eclipse ( post forthcoming ). This lunation highlights the importance of collective connections, especially as we descend into the shadow aspect of the year and ourselves.

Resources are less abundant, especially following the harvest. So, we seek balance between the light and dark— beginning within ourselves. Considering the cosmic chaos right now, balance is much needed.

We’ve still got four planets retrograding: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Additionally, Chiron, the wounded healer, and Eris, the goddess of discord are also in retrograde playing a role in global polarity.

Make sure you read the Aspecting the Cosmos report tonight to garner the planetary energies that will be affecting this lunation.

The energy of new beginnings is especially strong at this time, so we shouldn't underestimate our ability to guide ourselves though the chaotic energies. Just as we would take shelter from a storm, so must we take shelter within ourselves in order to weather these transits.

Focusing on how far we've come while looking ahead at what we want to accomplish during the next two seasons is the BEST course of direction. If we feel overwhelmed or confused, or are in need of extra support, reach out to your circle for a dose of spiritual love.

Just as Autumn Equinox rituals, you can also work with specific crystals and seasonal symbols for the New Moon too. Charge them with your intentions or meditating with them to help you connect with the seasonal shift and tap into the natural New Moon magic, as well as answers deep within the darkness of yourself.

Aspecting the Cosmos, Sat, Oct 14, 2023: Take care and take nothing personally. Focus on intentions and ritual. Treat others as we would want them to treat us.

Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Libra. Eclipse seasons is accompanied by intense and often accelerated peaks of action, so don't be surprised if hear about or read about escalating global tensions.

Annular Solar "Ring of Fire" Eclipse: http://inspiritualservice.com/celestial-events
New Moon in Libra: http://inspiritualservice.com/celestial-events

The energies accompanying the New Moon and Annular Solar Eclipse is going to be intense. The Lunar aspects will contribute a heightened emotional element. Both the Moon and Mercury are opposing Chiron, the wounded healer, so the polarity of wounds is emotionally palpable. The Moon conjunct the South Node and opposing the North Node tonight will intensify the polarity.

The Moon also conjunct the Sun, semisquare Uranus, and inconjunct Neptune. Irritability over unexpected events or delays. An adjustment of attitude will help ride out the waves.

Pluto is still squaring the nodes, Eris, and Israel, while inconjunct with Black Moon Lilith and Juno. This suggests a challenging inevitability that cannot no longer be avoided if an effort to compromise is not reached.

Take care and take nothing personally. Focus on our intentions and ritual. Treat others as we would want them to treat us. Remain grounded and grateful for where we are and what we have to keep our attitude shifted toward gratitude.

Annular "Ring of Fire" Solar Eclipse will occur this afternoon @ 12:12 PM EDT. The angel number 1212 is a sign of prosperity, happiness, and fulfillment. It represents unity, purity, and love, exactly what is needed on a global scale. When accompanied by a New Moon, especially in the sign of Libra, representing social and relationship balance, it's the perfect time for manifesting, we can all set intentions for PEACE.

This Eclipse and New Moon are a powerful combination to pave the way for a new social consciousness and personal beginnings. The "Ring of Fire" has always reminded me of a Universally controlled burn. Just like on Earth, fire departments initiate controlled burns for new and healthier growth. If you've ever witnessed this event as I have ( in a park when young ) you can see the beauty of it crawling along the ground in a unified action, burning away the old and infirmed patches of unhealthy growth to make way for the new.

Imagine this "Ring of Fire" burning from within our heart and through our bodies, minds, particularly thoughts, even homes as we rid ourselves of clutter that hinders our development. Behind it comes the cooling spray of water to fertilize the growth of new beginnings encapsulating the essence of the angel number 1212 ( EDT ).

Then imagine it spreading away from us, crawling across the globe - across every country, burning away outdated philosophies and militant regimes of oppression. Imagine the cooling rain fertilizing healthy beginnings representing unity and love.

Change begins with us, and this Annular Eclipse and New Moon provide the perfect celestial opportunity to join a collective of like-minded souls to plant the seeds of new growth in outdated patches of dirt where nothing healthy seems to survive.

Science:

The first of two great American solar eclipses begin with, the “ring of fire” solar eclipse this afternoon and will be visible to those along a narrow path sweeping over North and South America. At mid-eclipse, those along that eclipse path will see the sun in a ring around the moon. Conversely, those outside the shadow path will see a partial solar eclipse.

***Important: this is not a total eclipse. And the first thing to remember, at no time during this eclipse will it be safe to look at the sun without proper eye protection.

Please refer to this timetable for beginning/end times in your area:

https://eclipsewise.com/oh/oh-tables/ec2023-Tab04B.pdf

Why is it called an annular eclipse?

Astronomers call this an annular eclipse of the sun. That name comes from the Latin word for ring: annulus. And, to be sure, though not as dramatic as a total solar eclipse, this eclipse will be fascinating to view. You really only need to know two things. First, how much of the sun will be covered from your location? Second, what time is the eclipse from your location? More about that in the next section.

Overall, the eclipse will last 214 minutes. At maximum eclipse – for those along the eclipse path – the sun will be 0.907 percent covered by the moon. The part of the sun that will visible is its outer surface. So essentially, an annular eclipse is a partial eclipse, throughout the event. And remember, use eye protection!

Image: Shows what percentage of the sun will be blocked by the moon depending on your location. The October 14, 2023, annular solar eclipse begins in the northwest and sweeps across the U.S. toward the southeast. Then, it passes down through Central America, and into South America.

Weekly Oracle Forecast, Oct 15-21: No 53. OPPOSITION—CONFRONTATION

When two planets oppose each other across the circle of the Zodiac, as the Sun and the Moon do on a full moon, both planets will either be in signs of Yang elements, fire and air, or Yin elements, water and Earth, and stare directly at each other across the Earth. Like partners in a wrestling match, the opposition can feel like a dare or a challenge, like boot camp, or a confrontation that pushes all involved to grow.

This is not a comfortable situation, but that's not the point. We're being challenged to grow. Look at the situation as a Dojo, a martial arts training center, and take the training. We don't have to trust the wisdom of the people we are wrestling with, but we can trust the pattern itself. In this great cosmic workout practice, our best skills stay centered and operate from wisdom and strategy instead of emotional heat.

Listen for hints on how to improve our style. The obstacles in our way are not there to stop us, but to push us toward our personal lives. This situation may be set up as a Dichotomy: Us or them. Love or work. Our ideas versus their ideas. Question the dichotomy's illusion and look for a third position of resolution and solution versus either demanding either/or.

If the way forward feels truly blocked, look for another path. Sometimes an opposition, particularly in transit, says you shall not pass this way. Find another route. An opposition dares us to proceed. Decide if this path is worth the struggle. If it is, grow those skills hold our ground and fight for what we believe in. We are being asked to prove to ourselves and others that we have the skills needed for the next step.

Our challenge with this card is an inconvenient growth opportunity, but not a punishment. Decide if it is time to build muscles or to find another path. Our gift is that this situation offers us a chance to burn through karma if we can continually respond with compassion and tough love from our highest self.

Believe me, we want to take the High Road.

Lessons From the Tarot: The Fool

In the tarot, the Fool card is often depicted as a young person standing on the edge of a cliff, about to step off into the great beyond. This card is typically associated with new beginnings, taking risks, and rising to meet the unknown. In addition, there are a few important lessons in self-introspection we can gather from the Fool:

1. Embrace uncertainty. The Fool card reminds us that it's okay to not have all the answers. Life is full of uncertainty and taking risks can often lead to great rewards. Don't let the fear of the unknown hold you back. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith.

2. Be spontaneous. This card is all about being open to new experiences and embracing the unexpected. It's easy to get stuck in a rut and forget to enjoy life. Take a cue from the Fool and try something new today. Whether it's a new hobby or trying a new restaurant, embrace the spontaneity of the moment.

3. Trust in your instincts. The Fool  encourages us to trust our gut and follow our intuition. Sometimes our instincts can lead us in the right direction and help us make the right choices. Tap into your inner wisdom and trust that you know what's best for you.

4. Let go of fear. The Fool card reminds us that fear can hold us back from experiencing all that life has to offer. Whether it's fear of failure, fear of the unknown, or fear of change, don't let it hold you back. Grasp your courage and face your fears head-on.

The Fool card offers valuable lessons on taking risks, embracing uncertainty, and trusting in our inner wisdom. Remember, life is an adventure, and sometimes we must take that leap of faith, just like the Fool on the edge of the cliff.

Love this! Most people see tarot as taboo and those that practice usually regard the fool as a bad card to draw... it's all about perspective. Hopefully you turn this into a serious... love learning weird stuff

Finally! Thanks for joining us, Luna! I love The Fool ( and your thoughts on it ). Astrologically, it represents Pluto, the underworld and regeneration through death. It's also known as the Jungian archetype of creative emptiness, such as a collective idea that will not reach fruition until the next generation. Reminds me of planting a tree whose shade you will never sit under—in this life, anyway.

Aspecting the Cosmos, Mon, Oct 16, 2023:

The Oracle Forecast for the week was 'Opposition". Monday's energy reflects it, so let's tap into the energy of growth.

Jupiter in Taurus oppose Ceres in Scorpio: Opportunity to expand through releasing the past and embracing the present.  Moments later Venus in Virgo sextile Vesta in Cancer. Even sextile means opportunity; therefore, we have an opportunity to affectionately nurture close relationships, especially with children by allowing them to be themselves.

An hour later the fallen Moon in Scorpio will sesquiquadrate Neptune Rx in Pisces. Any attempt to control others will trigger their fight or flight response.

Early morning the fallen Moon in Scorpio opposite Jupiter in Taurus. Difficulty expressing our true nature. Obstinance. Opportunity for reconciliation lies within compromise. Twenty minutes later, the fallen Moon will conjunct Ceres in Scorpio, 2nd House, the natural home of Taurus, ruled by Venus, and a house of substance and values.  This house reflects gain or loss through our own efforts as well as inner resources. We may experience difficulty with expression, but we certainly can create a nurturing and stable environment through dependable and practical actions.

Viewing everything as an opportunity for growth, no matter how difficult, will change our perspective on life.

Owls are closely associated with Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom.  Known for their nocturnal vision, owls represent knowledge and erudition - with a hint of mystery.   The hop is an impressive plant, able to climb up to 20 feet in a single growing season.  Together, they represent spiritual and intellectual fulfillment.

Reflections:

Am I content?  If not, what would bring me contentment?

What things can I do to nurture spiritual and intellectual fulfillment?

If I’ve reached a state of fulfillment, am I willing to humble myself to try something new?

(Card and Reflections are from the Woodland Wardens Oracle deck by Jessica Roux)

It's not that we don't like anybody, when we begin to realize the impact we have on the collective as a whole, we begin to view the actions of ourselves and others for what they truly are. Awakening can be difficult. It's okay to go through periods of isolation and withdrawal to get our bearings straight.

We will lose family. We will lose friends. We will lose acquaintances who are not on the same frequency level that we have grown into. We will be buffeted. We will be gossiped about. We will be ghosted.

But this is the crux of the matter:

We have to be ignored by almost everyone in order to turn to Source ( God, Universe, Great Spirit ). There is nothing wrong with us. It's all part of the process. Those who emerge healed will see things NOT through the eyes of repulsion or condemnation, but compassion.

Trust the process. Those periods of isolation and withdrawal to get our bearings straight is really time spent with Source. They teach us we are loved and supported.

If we're afraid to be alone, that's okay too. In time we'll develop the courage and strength it takes to grow. We shouldn't beat ourselves up. We all evolve in our own time.
