Arctic Monkeys have matured. 17 years between these two offerings. Not even Sheffield’s finest, but mighty lush.

*In the words of Bjork "it's all so quiet in here." Lol. Used to be the most active thread in here. DU folk used to express a real passion for music. I blame the Russians & Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Yes, since Björk keeps her mouth shut, it’s all very quiet in here. And I love that sort of silence.

À very fine Dutch musician, who’s less than half my age, and I have concluded that we  have a crush on Miki Berenyi. We are too nicely brought up to go after her bum, but the way she dances to her own music and the way she smiles, is the cause that all my hormones scream ‘Dance’!

I’m talking about Lush of course. Maybe I posted this one before?

Enjoy!

Love it Gus. Lush appear on this compilation of girl fronted bands of the similar era. You can find it on the web. We all find our own inspiration and passions from others. It's good to share.

^ Good to see this thread sparking back into life. Eclectic and obscure are charming.

This song is just so gorgeous. It should have been number one in every nation!

See? In Dutch this is called ‘inhaken’. @strangewaysRob. I let myself be hooked in by what you say.

It’s a sort of prompt writing on the smaller scale possible. You say Lush (I’ve ordered the ladykillers CD) and now eclectic.

Fine band. Song begins a bit feeble…
But it gathers speed along the way. The band had Dorris as 2nd singer later. She made a amalgam of Rotterdam harbour sounds. Two fantastic singers if you ask me.

I will stop inhaken before it annoys you.

Enjoy!

Inkhaken! Love it. See Gus, I would never have encountered Eclection if you hadn’t posted that. Similar with the other posters. Really enjoyed it. Just think an arts site should encourage others to meet poems, music, film, books and art for the first time. They may find them abhorrent, but that’s not the point. It’s good to share passions.

Been listening to lot of Scott Walker. Reflects my sombre and reflective mood at present. Voice of an angle. Soft as silk. Beautiful words.
