One that had me howling was my friend's retelling of something that happened to her daughter, who was a university student at the time.  She was working out in an aerobics class at the gym, and her zip-up sports bra that she was wearing as a top suddenly burst open and EVERYONE saw everything.  She ran out, could only manage to find a woolly jumper in her locker/ car, so put that on and went back into the class in that!  They are Italian and the daughter said she's pleased it happened in England because everyone was so polite and averted their eyes.

Funniest fictional story was read out in whole school assembly when I was a teacher there.  It was called Silly Simon.  I'll see if I can find a link or something.
