I don’t know how into vintage publishing anyone else here is, but if you are and you’re reading this, please share covers you like.

I don’t have the space to store vintage paperbacks, but I do have a couple of neat reference guides: Paperbacks from Hell, about horror titles from the 1970s and ‘80s, by Grady Hendrix; and The Hooded Gunman, specialising in mystery novels published by Collins Crime Club, by John Curran.

Cabal by Clive Barker

I love great book covers, I would buy books from thrift stores solely based on their covers,

This one I just love and have had the book for ages. The blue and the photo is so cool.

Thank you so much for sharing, nomoth! That is a splendid cover.

...also love the designs for The Rosy Crucifixion series from the 60s/70s. They looked better all scratched and used up than they do new.

thanks its a great thread idea. Bad book jacket designs always bothered me.

I will try and dig out some more I like.

Feel free to post those illustrations if you want. I know I’d get a kick out of them.

Eh. . . not these, I'm afraid. Nothing but sadness.

Ah. I understand. It’s easy for me to forget the horrors of Native displacement and oppression.

Well, slap me thrice and hand me to my momma ....

It's been sitting on my bookshelf for at least 15 years, though I haven't read it yet.
