Started the day off with a tangerine and a banana, then cleaned the house.
Checked on a sick kitty outside that refused to be brought indoors; thankfully found her sleeping peacefully under a tree in the 30F morning temp.
And just treated myself to a DELICIOUS breakfast of bacon, french toast, fried potatoes and MOAR coffeeeee. Oink, oink.

Do you rescue needy or neglected animals ?

I live on a farm that at one point had almost 70 cats. Now the population is down to about 40, most of which live in my house. Many of them are special needs by virtue of the fact they are all inbred.
Understood, my situation is similar as my cats are also inbred therefore they have aquired genetic flaws that affects their daily lives. My most favorite boy has Russian Blue in him his behavior can be likened to Downs Syndrome.
I rescued the litter of five when they were two weeks old
They were born with a cleft palette and unable to suck and the worst case of ringworm you could imagine.
The vet recommended euthenasia it was so bad. They survived as did I.
It wasn't easy beating that one and I managed to only get one spot.
Too young for medication I used Neem mixed with olive oil and chlorohexedrine wipes ( life savers). One of the kittens is the most beautiful Siamese who trained herself to use the toilet!! and she does well on a leash so she gets to go to town and go shopping for the ranch

Sheesh! Where did you put all that?
My day has beenslow and peaceful so far. About to settle and tackle some study for a poem completely out of my wheelhouse.
