thank you A. It is real treat...best thing for a while to have happened. Have been doing some youtube homework on hyperfocal length, exposure compensation....apertures etc.
An 18-55mm came with the camera but i think i would like something wider...maybe my next investment. I took this today...I am not too keen on the actual composition, but the detail on the Highland cow I just love....
Typically if a lens accompanies a purchase it's not a prime; it's a kit lens. Look into primes, Andrew. Camera's have a lifetime ( certain number of clicks ); whereas your lenses are GOLDEN and can last forever if you take care of them. I have lenses that cost over $1,000 - but they'll last forever pending I care for them.
Invest in prime lenses even if it takes you a bit to save.

"Over the last couple of days, we’ve been treated to a rare and beautiful sight here in Reykjavík, Iceland. Polar stratospheric clouds have been spotted in the sky, radiating like flying unicorns in shimmering, rainbow-coloured hues."

I've experienced the Aurora Borealis, but this! This is something I can only imagine as absolutely magical.

I saw the Aurora B from northern Illinois about 25 or so years ago.
^This? Looks like an airplane carrying the Grateful Dead exploded.

That reminded me of trip the light fandango, which then reminded me of Whiter Shade of Pale!
