Ultimately, prosperity comes from stability.

Those who are removed from that will be surprised when the world moves on without them.

The English thought they ruled the world.

The world turned.

Prepare to be humbled.

JohnnyBlaze said:George Floyd was ALREADY subdued by the four officers and needlessly killed.

His life mattered regardless of excuses made on behalf of his mistreatment.

Anyone can make the argument that this happens to white civilians too, but black people are upset that it happens more often to black people because they are black.

They are tired of this and are protesting. Millions of non blacks are protesting with them.

The phrase "black lives matter" is about expressing your belief that the lives of black people do matter as much as any other skin color and it is about expressing your support for the end of their mistreatment.

That's it.

To say "all lives matter" and excuse the mistreatment of Floyd after he was ALREADY subdued just illustrates that the person saying it doesn't believe it.

To say "love matters" is something best said to those police officers - they are the ones who acted without any love in their hearts for their fellow man. Instead they attempted to intimidate Floyd and the onlookers with a pointless show of brutal force.

To argue people are Sainting Floyd is a waste of time and energy. You might as well be arguing that Richard Speck or Charles Manson were not marriage material. Some people did. Who cares? It isn't what is fueling the protests. Centuries of abusive treatment of other human beings is.

The rioting and looting caused by and stoked by outsiders with agendas is irrelevant to this situation. If you are concerned with fallout - property damage, money lost and lives taken - then be a part of the solution by discouraging more heartless police brutality. Don't make excuses for it or distract focus away from it with red herrings amok and personal agendas as selfish as encouraging protesters to riot and loot.

Unfortunately, social distancing has largely been thrown out the window in the process, thus more lives are going to be lost in the process.

Excellent response.

Yes; gratitude cannot share the same space as dejection; it just can’t. 👃

Thank you for the reminder & strength.

^ This. There are still some who condone this nation's imperialist past. All that 'the sun never sets on the empire' bullshit. A litany of raping other countries. Shameful. The West is culpable of considering themselves the World's Moral Police....but those in glasshouses etc. Despairing times. Was it REM who sang of the end of the world?

Good 3.5 min video—

George Floyd: How the USA's history has shaped today's police brutality

George Floyd's name is the latest in a long list of African Americans to die as a result of racism and police brutality throughout the history of the United States.

The BBC's Clive Myrie, who has reported from the US for nearly 25 years, looks at how a toxic mix of racism and bad policing has led to the most serious racial unrest in the US for many years.

Article XIII (Amendment 13 - Slavery and Involuntary Servitude)

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. affects 11

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.   ratified #13

The word "except" should never follow a denouncement of slavery or ownership of another human being under any circumstance.

We agree. Very much.

His life mattered regardless of excuses made on behalf of his mistreatment.

Yes.

Anyone can make the argument that this happens to white civilians too, but black people are upset that it happens more often to black people because they are black.

Ignoring the pain of every other group?

They are tired of this and are protesting. Millions of non blacks are protesting with them.

No, gangs are in the street. And rabid liberals and other radicals.

The phrase "black lives matter" is about expressing your belief that the lives of black people do matter as much as any other skin color and it is about expressing your support for the end of their mistreatment.

I have to accept a lie. More officers of color kill their own than “whites”

I’m not even against those words I’m against burning, etc.

Don’t kill.

As I mentioned to a friend recently on this topic, how this time around it might actually make a difference.
I think now social media playing a huge role in how news is transmitted, expressed within seconds globally and nationally that the emotionally heightned generation of youth will most likely play a huge role in our future in turning this country around.
Also, the fact that majority of the citizens were homebound with covid19 they were watching more intensely, thus everyone coming out with protests, taking an active role.
So I am optimistic, it won't be overnight but I believe things will change.

Edible
Upon waking up I thought I would re read our.convo from last night.
It is clear that I am coming from a prejuidiced heart prejuidiced against law enforcement

I left conspiracy out of the conversation
There is too much legitimate pain to cover it with conspiracy although I must warn you once more

I know Blacklivesmatter is funded by Soros and the Clinton's and Oprah
I know that it was formed to start a civil war
I know it's all  political  using the people as pawns
There is alot to know about Derek Chauvin where is the proof ?
Truthfinder? Has enough proof you need on Derek Chauvin to begin destroying your own life
Dangerous enough to shut my mouth
Unless you have the money or protection on this one you would be a fool risking your family all in the name of Fox News
It's not a game
I will say it once more you are being dangerous
Whatever you put out there on this is monitored
Edible be safe

Buffalo Police Officers Suspended After Shoving 75-Year-Old Protester

The protester, who was seen on video motionless on the ground and bleeding from his ear, was in serious condition late Thursday.

The man is seen flailing backward, landing just out of range of the camera, with blood immediately leaking from his right ear. The video shows an officer leaning down to examine him, but another officer then pulls the first officer away. Several other officers are seen walking by the man, motionless on the ground, without checking on him.

Mayor Byron Brown said on Thursday night that the man was in serious condition.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York condemned the actions of the officers in a statement late Thursday night.

[ . . . ]

“The incident in Buffalo is wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful,” Mr. Cuomo said. “I’ve spoken with City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown and we agree that the officers involved should be immediately suspended. Police officers must enforce — NOT ABUSE — the law.”

Of course. Same as some want a riot to justify looting.

Thankfully there are more peaceful protestors and police with common sense than the fraction that are out for themselves.
