I am finally catching up on some of my listings ( in between Korean Dramas ( God help me ) ) so watched "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind". It's based on the best selling  novel "The Boy Who Captured the Wind", about the true story of William Kamkwamba. He invented ( as a teenager ), a wind-powered Turbine, which saved his village in Malawi, from a famine.

The story moved actor Chiwetel Ejiofor is so strongly that he decided to turn it into a Film.  The book addresses more of the politcal aspects than does the movie, but with a time limit on the big screen, it's still worth the watch. The actual clips of Kamkwamba at the end are priceless images of success.

Enjoyed that! Also Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is another great one. LOVE Ang Lee's style of directing. Which also brings me to

The Life of Pi ( both book and movie ).

If anyone could capture Pi in film, it was Lee. I had my doubts after reading the book ( which is one of the most emotional I've ever read ); however, was NOT disappointed by the film.

The cinematography was just so amazing.
It was mind blowing just how much the director could make you care about an octopus, and how he managed to capture just so much footage.
