Hopefully things are turning a corner.

Early results from Moderna coronavirus vaccine trial show participants developed antibodies against the virus

If future studies go well, the company's vaccine could be available to the public as early as January, Dr. Tal Zaks, Moderna's chief medical officer, told CNN.

That is positive news; this is irresponsible behaviour—

Trump says he is taking hydroxychloroquine though health experts question its effectiveness

https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/18/politics/donald-trump-hydroxychloroquine-coronavirus/index.html

Does he not know the negative side-effects of this drug outweigh the positive, particularly in regards to the heart?  Who prescribed this?

Something tells me he is trying to save face over his latest blunders by proving himself right in that because he is not ill, it is effective.

But what a boost it would supposedly give the pharm company providing the prescription.

I really wish Mitt Romney would have run in 2016. He's one of the few who has a conscience and would have taken Covid much more seriously.

Instead, now we have all this distraction about "Obama Gate" and talking out of the ass about how the Obama administration didn't leave the Trump administration with enough masks and ventilators to combat Covid effectively.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/obama-coronavirus-masks/

As the current crisis has widened, President Trump has attempted to deflect responsibility for his administration’s poor planning, suggesting the coronavirus outbreak was inconceivable.

“Nobody knew there would be a pandemic or epidemic of this proportion,” the president said Thursday.

The opposite is true. The [Government Accountability Office], public health experts and others issued a steady drumbeat of warnings that America would sooner or later face a widespread infectious disease outbreak or a major bioterrorism attack and was woefully unprepared.

In both 2018 and 2019, U.S. intelligence agencies issued insistent warnings in their annual Worldwide Threat Assessment.

“We assess that the United States and the world will remain vulnerable to the next flu pandemic or large-scale outbreak of a contagious disease that could lead to massive rates of death and disability, severely affect the world economy, strain international resources, and increase calls on the United States for support,” the 2019 report noted.

It’s true, as reported by Bloomberg and the Los Angeles Times, and the partisan websites that borrowed from their reporting, that the supply of protective masks in the Strategic National Stockpile was largely depleted during the Obama administration, which then failed to restock the supply. But it’s also true that the Trump administration ignored indications that the SNS remained understocked and the country was ill-prepared for a pandemic in the years leading up to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The claim that the Obama administration “caused” or was solely responsible for the current shortage of medical equipment such as N95 protective face masks omits that wider context. We therefore rate this claim “Mixture.”

Right, because opting not to restock your pantry while ablebodied means it's someone else's fault you starved.

Exactly. I don't think anyone could have restated it poetically any better than you just did in so few words.

I think that Trump is doing a good job despite bad advice from the CCP and the WHO not forgetting the democrats that called his ban on Chinese flights, racist and then had a gathering in Chinatown inviting everyone down stating there were no risks - Thank god the democrats were not in charge their attitude from the start has been a cluster fuck of stupidity.

Same old story. Excellent? It's cherry-picking. Plain and simple.

...
...
...

And none of it means that people spending their own money to procure those goals mean to control the entire world. Unless, of course, cherry-picked to death and presented in such a way it would appear a mass conspiracy.

Is it not possible, especially given mass-media's track-record on spin & hype, that 3 months blanket mass-media coverage on Covid, with attendant drama stories, is the biggest cherry picked of them all?

Without absolute knowledge that it's not, it could be. I'll know it when I see it, just like the link that carpe posted. The collection of abruptly truncated quotes, the misinterpretation of body gestures, and so forth was not conclusive evidence of what it claimed: it was cherry-picked.

What I do know, conclusively, is that covid-19 is claiming lives.  So the virus is real. That is not in question.

Did you watch it, Josh?

OMG!  Josh! This could be YOU narrating!

This is a fantastic analysis of SARS-Cov-2 sources! His points about evolved vs chimeric origin are particularly relevant.

PLUS, he lists each source in the video separately in the video description. Excellent channel!

Josh, interesting question ...been shouting that at the tv...

Meanwhile it’s just making war and famine more dangerous. Wars and famines we don’t hear enough about... for the news...

It’s like a global cold-civil-information-war!
