Yeah whoa
oh fucking no
my back against the wall
nowhere to fucking go
and now I’m crawling home
writing a letter to myself
and sending it back in time
this waking dream is over
and now I lay here dying
thinking about my time
how the grind of life is trying
and the nightmares just begun
was in heaven
now on the run
a fucking viking Irish Indian
hell, we’re all heinz fifty seven
and I'm thinking I’ll go fishin’
back to Alaska
back to my beginning
a deckhand on a gill-netter
we were always drinking
never sober in my thinking
never worrying about anything
a dangerous life it was my choice
leaving my heart always open
to the vulnerability of emotions
over and over
and again and again
I kept searching
for the loving of a woman
with no regrets for any lovin’
and the joy of all my children
takes me back to my beginning
and the violence of my youth
had to get tough or die trying
I’d get bitch slapped just for crying
walking the streets of Asia
my spirits flying
and there can be no denying
most people
were so kind
so now I lay here smiling
we touched souls
we intermingled
and I’ve grown
to be more gentle
watching my babies
has meant the world to me
and all the people that I’ve loved
and now my hearts flying
like a dove
and I lay dying
in my will of steel
there is no trying
only doing
and the white light is so blinding
I’m ascending
I am flying
to the future or the past
realizing there’s no time
and that death is really birth
in my bloods upon this earth
and now I am a child
looking for love
in her smile
and mile after mile
she holds me calmly
then we go wild
over and over
and again and again
back to the beginning
in these tears of blood
I lay living
I lay dying
for what is life
without loving
the spark of god that's in me
is always flickering
waking in eternity
I am smiling
not alone
I am home
again
