Honestly, how does anyone on here, claiming to be a part of the literary community, support Trump (aka The President Who Doesn’t Read)?!

The democraps have done everything in their power to lie and demonise a man voted in under a democratic system - this they have done with the full weight of virtually all media and multimedia supporting them. They have tried anything to circumvent the democratic process from fake dossiers, media smear and acts of violence (Antifa ) who do not follow the stars and stripes bit worship at the alter of the hammer and sickle. The reasonable democrats and liberals have failed the working class and are failing the reasonable left-wing. I would not have voted for Trump just as I wouldn't have voted for Boris Johnston - but democracy should never be usurped by violent or smear tactics. Oh, by the way, I wouldn't have voted for Hilary either, she was more crooked than Trump.

Blackbird Raum - The Lash

The lash is on it's golden nail inside the master's house
It's not needed now, dreams are working for the nonce
But that lash, is being taken down they've thrown bones enough
And don't love to hear us whine
Some refused to sign
Some lit themselves on fire
In the labyrinth cities
Endless rooms
The economic chain
In the endless rooms, heads dancing in their tombs
The hairless apologists, cook their schemes
Aspect of the leech
War lines to my home
Rust to gleaming chrome

The lion's share, the lions' share their kill
The system drinks unknowing, blindly draining all and we are all it's cells
The bloodless routine evil, greying cloud of working
Hydras head grown back
Every daughter, every one, every mother's son
The knives in their upward stab
I do no good, I hold them by the blade
That's how I was made
The towers never show their roots, yet underground
The dwelling of the low
Wanting, grasping souls
To the middle bricks we are
Worth, shallow
Not enough, never enough, don't give up, I give up

Genuinely curious why anyone sees this as a bad thing?

Where is your line? Should the nastiest kind of predatory baby rapist be free to stand on a street corner and extol the virtues of his lifestyle? Is that free enough speech for you?

That's called a confession. Free speech means none of these idiots with idiotic ideas of extremisms go unheard or unseen. People call people out on their shit, nazis views are laughed and mocked as we did when far right wankers tried to walk in Liverpool. When we advocate for free speech it's for the same root reasons others want some form of restricted speech.

And what words are restricted? Who says who can say what and when? What happens when governments start imposing enforced speech, compelled speech? Because, historically, that's exactly what happens just before your government start locking you up for saying unsactioned words.

First they come for your words, and if you want your words to be censored then do it to others, but I will defend anyone's right to free speech, even if it's absolutely out of my range of experience or moral boundaries.

The nutters who have spouted hate speech publicly are dealt with swiftly, usually publicly too. People with vile minds who keep their venomous ideas in small, secret groups are exactly what happens when people's speech is controlled. Socially or otherwise.

Dissent Erupts at Facebook Over Hands-Off Stance on Political Ads
