Was enegaged with freedom and perhaps a a natural sense of rebelion agains that what was "common" or "main stream". Now I call it plain stubornness. How did poetry come into your life?
books, mainly, and bedtime stories... i adored 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and had it memorised from an early age. of course, then there was dr. seuss.
later, poetry found in books like The Lord of the Rings, writing it in school, then Shakespeare and reading actual poetry books.
