Packed away my brain
Opted for insane
So when the darkness comes home
I will never feel alone
No potions or pills
Will cure my ills

Weighed down by opinion
Autism has bitten back
Itís like we have spinning heads
When the truth comes out
No filter we say what is thought
Even if it hurts

Insanity never goes as planned
The voices donít conform
They multiply the fears
Subtract the reason
Amazing how the process breaks down
Before your eyes
In the lucid moments
Thereís no respite
Cause they are waiting
To draw you back in
Those fucking voices always win

Her tattered sails
The broken lines
Still majestic
As she lay on the rocks

Once a Queen of the seas
Her beauty sailed with he breeze
Capturing all who gazed
Upon her size and grace

Run aground by storms
Her resting place
A sad reminder of a dangerous world
That eventually catches up
With us all

As long
As I can remember
When time was young for me
These thoughts  grew from obscurity
Becoming the maelstrom of words
I place on a blank page

Mysteriously my brain functions
Firing electro chemical impulses
That defy normal logic
Sometimes giving a simplistic
Often unfiltered view of life

All my misery
Wrapped in a pretty bow
It now looks so innocent
But you can see the stains
Seeping through

Got the St James infirmary blues
bury me cherokee
beneath the old oak tree
next to the spot with me dog
more faithful than most have ever been
dress me all casual
hoodie and sweats
and for god sake make sure that holes
six foot deep

Once, within my mind
there was a vacant lot
where no child dared to play,
the gritty pavement shot.

Then a gust of wind let blow
all the refuse brushed aside,
then, once late the sun did glow
and in my mind did night awake

The blank pages mocked me
you will never fill us all,
at night the impulse rocked me
to write of every downfall.

The book became a tale
that stood in jest of my cries
the empty silence locked me
into a journaling of tears.

Holding it to my heart
I prayed for its demise,
this sordid tale is not for sale,
for to itself it only lies.

The beauty of the earth
Colours of the sky
Breathe in the fragrance of the air
As fresh rains wash upon the land

As a mother she has protected
Nourished her children
Providing constant comfort
In her illness she still gives life

A full blood moon
Offers madness
Witness to long dead rituals
Sacrifices to appease angry gods
A bloody darkness born
From innocent ignorance
Fear clutching at straws
Trying to fathom
Mother natureís laws

Rumbling bellies
blue collar poverty
financial vultures picking the bones
with pay day loans
soup kitchen lines snake city blocks
food banks empty
even the dumpsters are locked

Welcome to the hunger games
will work for food

it is the lack of:
                          Karing
                                   Kompassion
                                                        And Kindness

that beggar's belief
from those more fortunate
they are paid up members of the:
