Ahoy there, Crew and Landlubbers following along!

The Encyclopedicus was distracted with sneezing and weezing from it's blowhole being peppered with spice.

The technicolor dust cast along with a last second wish by the the travelingfairy turned that lunging shark into a blowfish - to which SatinUGal used as a flotation device!

All the other sharks were likewise enchanted by kisses the mermaid and her sisters blew. How nice! One even saved Wallyroo92 from the freezing deep blue when he went under - not once, but twice!

Spotted in the air, the Blue Parrot of Paradise, with an urgent message -  could be for me, could be for you. Teasing, I suppose we'll find out in days numbering few.

The mermaids tugged the rest of us crew back to the NapoWrimo and rosegold gifted each with a lei.  What to do to repay their kindness?

Throw a party the following day!

Wow I can't believe we're on the 18th day of the NaPo voyage. 12 more days of sailing in the ocean. I can't wait to see the harbor Ahavati. Thank you for the opportunity of sailing with you and the other crew.:-)

It's great that we haven't had anyone 'over a barrel' yet (a remedy for drowning in the sail ship days)
I wish everyone smooth sailing (no broken ribs) but watch the shoals as we approach land

Ahoy there, Crew and Landlubbers following along!

The Encyclopedicus put to our rudder, we left the idea scarfing monstrosity many leagues safely behind!

Feeling comfortable enough to drop anchor near an uncharted island, we recognized familiar flags of a few pirate ships squatting in the bay. And wherever there are pirates on dry land, there's bound to be a cache of rum - though our preference is tequila!

Meanwhile, the mermaid and her sisters joined us on deck for quite the bash - though we had to fill several barrels with sea water for them to splash around in!

The festivities turned into a going-away-party for Minx, as the Blue Parrot of Paradise had delivered an urgent message requiring her presence back home. We congratulated her for the poetry she scratched into the hull of the NaPoWriMo and said our farewells! Minx then hugged the enchanted blowfish while one of the mermaids voluntarily tugged her back to port.

It wasn't too long before we ran low on drinks!

Methinks we should ask those pirates if they wouldn't mind sharing some spirits! Hepcat61 drunkenly somewhattedly rhymed as he stumbled over the railing and fell into the sea.

We threw him the last of the giant Krispy Kreme donut life preservers  DaisyGrace had squirreled away on board, but the tide washed him towards shore. So ... we all left the mermaids behind to man the ship while went to retrieve him and beg for tequila!

My sleepy self wasn't paying attention to the time when i submitted the Day 20 spill.
I got super lucky and made it by 2 minutes after midnight.
If i had accidentally posted say a minute before midnight, could it be deleted and resubmitted after midnight?

Usually i am very careful about this but i am in need of a 2nd wind as i can feel i am getting burned out bordering Brain dead.

Anyways.................any Tips on how to get a 2nd wind to finish the last 10 days?

You need to rest your mind Tallen. The last ten days is critical:-)

It ain't easy as my mind doesn't even stop
while i sleep.

Just a couple of days ago i had 4 separate dreams
and i was thinking maybe my Guides were making up for lost time since before that I'd slept about 3.5 hrs in 3 days.

Maybe i need to play more Chess --- always been my comfort zone.

Thank You for support

In support of all the amazing hard-working NaPo team ...
...
The star-dust danced to a whistling tune
as the sailors sang to a maxed-out moon
said twenty done, its just ten more
so load those kegs when we hit the shore
and all the NaPo team rejoiced
with the poems writ and given voice -
Im wondering where the boat sails next
but Im confident it wont get wrecked

Very lovely Josh. Your poem would be an inspiration for the sailors :-)

Ahoy there, Crew and Landlubbers following along!

Those ships anchored in the bay were awfully quiet, so we embarked at our usual snail's pace, stumbling into the island's interior to locate a pirate.

And still we heard no drunken rowdiness involving songs being sung about ships with black sails, only witnessed a smouldering fire and empty bottles of rum strung about the beach!  But ... there was something ... a rumbling of sorts ... that could be felt vibrating in the tips of our tails.

( ( ( thud-dung ) ) )

Where are we? asked fromtheash with unease. Is this an island with an active volcano? Someone tell me, please!

( ( ( thudd-dunng ) ) )

I don't think so, but this spit ov land does seem somewhat familiar,  Earth_Child replied.

( ( ( thuddd-dunnng ) ) )

There it was again beyond the trees - as if the ground was being struck with great force, but none of us could isolate the source as much as we trekked through the woods!

However, what we did discover was something totally shocking and completely unexpected!

We just updated the team yesterday about the "Dark Tower" of dread, Tallen.  This is where entrants begin to doubt themselves and their ability to produce anything worthwhile.  We typically lose a few during this time because of fear of posting "Shit poems" that will reflect badly on their ability as poets.  This is pure fatigue thinking - I promise if you push through despite doubt,  it will be more rewarding than you could ever imagine.  You will learn so much about yourself and your writing ability.

The second wind comes with pure belief despite doubt and fear - believe by faith you can do it - and you will.  When we round that final week marker - your second wind will come as a gust on an open sea and push your sails along.

Hang tight, Sailor.

Thank you for all your acknowledgement and encouragement throughout this challenge, Josh. It has truly motivated and inspired Captain Johnny and me. I am sure both Team &  Crew loves it too.

Happiest of Easter weekends to you.
