Ahavati and I are conducting this poll for feedback as to which poets you would like to learn about and write tributes for in our ongoing Classic Corner competition series. We hold two competitions per month and would prefer to they are dedicated to a male and female poet.
You may skip voting and instead recommend in a post one poet not listed in the poll.
Each competition, given enough entries, will encourage the Webmiss to create a theme for a poet.
Here is a list of poets we have already held challenges about and earned themes for, so keep in mind there is no point in recommending them:
#ArthurRimbaud

Though I only like a few of his works I'd encourage you to consider Ralp Waldo Emerson. Many consider him to be the first anti-war, and anti-establishment poet.
Today's world could use a dose of Ralph's rebellious intellectual spirit.

Duly noted, snugglebuck.
Thank you. We'll put him and Lorca on next month's poll.
I actually enjoy his work.

Hello All...
Before I log off I didn't want to miss adding a recommend, which is for Anne Sexton.
Thank you. I look forward to the authors competitions in January.

I really like Robert Penn Warren, he wrote a famous poem called 'True Love' , also Robert Lowell is another suggestion and William Carlos Williams, I'll see if I can think of some more..
I'm going to read up on some of the poets in the poll before answering it, there's a couple I hadn't heard of..

Unless any additional votes come in, it appears Angelo and Neruda will grace February's Classic Corner comps. 🏆
List your favorite poems and we'll include them in the list to pull from during the comp. 📝
