Neither.  My parents were / are Passive Agressive
and I am a super rebellious individual who has always tried to live as a " Free Spirit " something
neither parent has ever understood.  I only have my Mom now and I believe she has finally accepted me as I am.

Do You think a parents' mental upbringing can  unknowingly  be passed on to their children?

Well... I have OCD. My mother also has OCD due to her upbringing. I guess there’s a strong case for hereditary factors there.

What’s your favourite period in history that you would have liked to have experienced?

That's a rather tough one. I adore the mystery and epic scale of Ancient Egypt, but quite like the idea of being a Victorian Gentleman (with all the hidden kinks) in the time of the Empire upon which the sun never set, and WW1/2 seem a blast as long as you survive; where people got on to fight the good fight and not just whinge in their safety and security. Though I'll say the Birth of the Roman Empire: as it has tons of interesting individuals where if you were part of the right faction then the world is your oyster like never before.

Have you become more or less interested in history since finishing/leaving school?

For all I have learned I know there is much more I want to know.

What would you like to learn about next?

I want to really hone my knowledge of the European movements of the Celts outside of there involvement with the British Isles.

Well y’know. It fills an evening.

Do you think you could ever have killed anyone with a sword back in the day?

Kilkenny Castle. A huge castle built in 1195. I felt the history aura that made me think I was from the past.

What's the beautiful thing you have seen throughout your life?

I think people working together to overcome is one of the most beautiful sights/ things. sadly, don't really see it too often no more cept after natural disasters or in the movies

“I am
a series of
small victories
and large defeats
and I am as
amazed
as any other
that
I have gotten
from there to
here
without committing murder
or being
murdered;
without
having ended up in the
madhouse.

as I drink alone
again tonight
my soul despite all the past
agony
thanks all the gods
who were not
there
for me
then.” — Bukowski

... and that’s all I got to say about that.

"’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:"
(Though I did think it was 'did gire and gimble in the wake', but oh well.)

What childhood poem/ story snippet can you still remember (ish) to this day?

Lei Ka`ahumanu song
I remember most of the song. In the 6th grade my class at Kaahumanu Elementary had to learn this and a few other Hawai'ian songs of which I never learned the meaning in English.

Do You listen to songs in a language not Your own and still don't know what it means?
