i feel that when alone people in general try to make themselves stand out to others sometimes they use unique qulitys that they posses to do so.when we write poetry its not always for us,or even anyone in peticular we write for the chance to stand out aganst the crowd,to be somthing, anything to fill a hole that everyone carries even if they dont admit it to even themselves

If I may add, from a personal perspective, there is a difference between being alone and lonely. To be able to write, concentrate and focus I need to be alone for long periods. uninterrupted. When I'm not writing; at work, socialising etc, I am no longer the lonely, tortured soul.

I have found writing to be an antidote to the loneliness.  If I were surrounded by constant activity, I'd probably never find the time to travel the imagination.
